      My bike was stolen from a well lit porch outside the house and it was done very quickly. I don't think this chain is that hard to cut and should have got a solid D lock.

        I though that it looked like a good strong lock when I got it but when it was put to the test by a bike thief it didn't take them long to get through the line of protection. It keeps the honest people honest but doesn't work well beyond that. Hopefully my property insurance will cover the loss of my Giant Yukon FX.

          I've had this lock for over a year and used it in highly populated, thief-prone areas. I'm pretty sure that the lock could be cut easily, but for a mid-price hybrid, I'm happy with the lock. The light is great for night use. I would never use this on my more expensive road bike. I also took this lock to Burning Man, and the lock survived well through heavy doses of dust and grime - no problem with the lock mechanism while caked with dirt, and it washed out well and continues to perform.
