      I purchased this rack primarily on the recommendation of one of my co-workers/cycling buddies who I know to have an eye for quality and value. I quickly came to appreciate this rack for its many great qualities:
      * Bike stabilizing brackets. These little things hold onto the seat post tube and keep the bikes from swinging back and forth - important if you care about the paint on the back of your car.
      * Solid/stable. I've had my bike on the back of my car on 6+ hour trips to TN and FL. My bike remained solidly attached to the back of the car - no swaying at high speeds.
      * Able to lock bike to rack. I'm able to use cable lock to securely lock the bike to the rack. OK, so that won't keep someone from taking both the bike and the rack but it makes them more conspicuous and easier to catch.
      * Doubles as a service stand. With the aforementioned stabilizing brackets in place, I can use the rack as a maintenance rack. Using the chain cleaner or adjusting cables is much easier with the bike being held steady and up higher by the rack.
      * Easy to install and remove. If I need to take it off, I can remove it and put it back on with little or no effort - just loosen or tighten back up the straps.

      All around, my only regret is that I didn't buy the three bike rack but that's my fault, not a product deficiency. It's a great rack and you won't be disappointed.

        The bike rack works really well. It is easy to assemble and to take on and off the car. My road bike fits really well, but it is a stretch to get my mountain bike on.

          Great fit on Jetta 06. No problems off road. Only drawback is the long/extra straps. Descent clearance between bikes.
