This guidebook is for tent campers who like scenic and serene campsites. It's the perfect resource if you blanch at the thought of pitching your tent on a concrete slab, trying to sleep through the blare of another camper's boom box, or waking up to find your tent surrounded by a convoy of RVs. If you subscribe to the opinion that Japanese lanterns, televisions and electric guitars are not essential camping equipment, then this guide should be your constant companion.

Dont waste your money!!!

The title realy should realy be called "The Best in Car Camping: But Only at Busy and Popular Campsites that Require you to Pay". If that is the purpose behind the book, it does a wonderfull job. All of the campsites listed in this book require one to register and pay for a spot. If your only interested in those spots then the bok does give you alot of good information. Lipker and Molloy mapped out the sites on a CO map and also gave strip maps of the campsites. They listed all of the admin data for the site such as when its open, what the fee is, and who to contact regarding the site. However, be sure to validate that info. I looked up a couple of the sites on the given websites and the reservation costs did not match. Before you buy this book, do some camping research online, you might find what your looking for with out the cost.
