Comments about Carlisle Magic Nylon Paddle:
This paddle was recommended to me by my local REI store. I like that it is lightweight and the shaft design easily fits the shape of a hand. The only con I've found thus far is that the little drip rings don't always work. All in all, this paddle is great for what I use it for.

Comments about Carlisle Magic Nylon Paddle:
I am a beginner kayaker. I like this paddle because it is fairly lightweight and seems to have good balance. I can take it apart for easy transport and then just snap it together when I'm ready to go. It has a slightly flattened, oval shape in the grip area, which reduces hand fatigue and keeps my grip firm. The paddle shape is perfect for recreational kayaking.

Comments about Carlisle Magic Nylon Paddle:
It worked Good. It tilted so you could paddle against the wind. I used it for a few short trips and it worked fine. Yet on my last trip my friend in a canoe ran into it because it was sitting on the side of my kyak. It put a nice dent in it then I tryed to bent it back and it snaped in half. So at least it was a small lake and I could use the half of paddle. May be no matter what paddle you have you should have a back up.

Comments about Carlisle Magic Nylon Paddle:
Nice, durable, CHEAP! This is most likely your 1st paddle. So you'll love it! but it's really very Ho-hum. So Ho-hum I have two. they make GREAT lenders for that friend who doesn't respect your things, or a great companion for that old Perception dancer you got on Craig's List, or a spare/2cnd flat water paddle. They Will Leak! just give 'em time. they leak where the paddle meets the shaft. fix that and your set. I keep one on my Hobie cat just in case the wind gives up. In the grand scheme not so special but like your first everything, Even after you spend $300 on the best, you find yourself coming back that old standard.
