Comments about Metolius Boss Hogg Crash Pad:
From the reviews I'm left to believe that Metolius is using a different foam, this pad was great for the first month, but quickly the foam became so soft that I can now feel the ground while standing on it. I really love the design, and I've always like Metolius products, especially my first 2 pads which were metolius (one was stolen, the second I still use and is still firm!).
I'll be returning this, especially considering the outrageous price, this pad is not in the league of similarly priced pads from Organic, and certainly not up to the same standards of prior Metolius pads.

Comments about Metolius Boss Hogg Crash Pad:
After having seen just about every pad out there, this one tops just about all of them. As far as a fall zone goes, it holds up with flashed, which have the best foam. It is better designed for wear with the belt, which helps considerably on hikes, and it's material takes cacti and spits them back out easily. Obviously the carpet top is amazing, and not near as hard to clean as I had feared. Also, the wear guards on the edges are a great boon. Another interesting point is the fact that this material does not seem to fade after months of use in the hot New Mexico sun. Lastly, the way this one closes and opens is extremely fast and allows you to safely store as much gear as you need with no worries of it falling out. The side pouch is good too, and the way the flaps fall gives you extra booting up room. If you get one pad, get this pad.

Comments about Metolius Boss Hogg Crash Pad:
My first pad, had it about 3 months now and have beat the heck out of it. It is still in excellent condition. Unlike alot of black diamond pads the top of the pad has a cloth like material that collects dirt, leaves, grass and just about everything else. It is a very firm pad so you dont have to worry about bottoming out. Overall I'd say it's a pretty good pad but personnally I would just spend the extra money and get the black diamond drop zone.

Comments about Metolius Boss Hogg Crash Pad:
First crashpad I ever used. For the three weeks I have had it, it has worked fine with no complaints. Most crashpads will last three weeks, it is the long term durability that makes the top stand out from the rest. So far good buy
