These highly engineered, half-cushioned SmartWool PhD running socks have a doctorate degree in performance and comfort.

  • Soft merino wool provides excellent temperature control, odor control and moisture management; reinforced with stretch nylon to maintain fit
  • SmartFit system II uses a 4-point banded compression system to deliver a secure fit above and below heels, under arches and across insteps
  • SmartFit system II incorporates a contour flex zone at the front of each ankle to eliminate bunching, slipping and sagging
  • Features double rib-knit cuffs that help secure the fit

        I can't yet comment on durability as I have only logged about 50 miles in them. But so far, they have been brilliant.
        I love the length (a little longer than most socks - cover the ankle), the cushioning is just right and they look awesome.

        Only thing left is that I hope they last long.
