This product is, for me, much too salty.

The Apple Cider flavor does not stand up to the extra electrolytes that Clif added. One woman in my party described it as "apple juice concentrate mixed with sea water".

Besides flavor, Clif did get their recipe right in many ways. The serving size makes it a nice end-of-day drink, or a good first bottle when you rise. It's great that one packet makes 1-2 drinks, rather than needing 2-3 packets per person of 6oz serving size brands. The drink mixed in with nearly zero stirring, and left nothing out of solution at the bottom of my cup or bottle.
If very salty drinks don't bother you, this could be great. I will stick with grocery store brands of cocoa or hot cider mix. Those have similar calorie levels and nutritional values, with a taste to look forward to at the end of a long day.
