    This book opens up your mind, ears and eyes to the world around you. This is always in my pack and often looked at when i come across something i don't know. It weighs kind of a lot, but it is very compact and filled with useful info. It even cover animal tracks, scat, star charts and animals. The flower section has helped me to identify so many plants and flowers i would normally walk by! This is a must for and Sierra Nevada hiker/backpacker!
