Comments about Detours Cruiser Handlebar Bag:
I spent a while deciding what kind of bag I wanted for my frequent casual bikes rides up to the twelve blocks to the lake and back and occasionally in-town riding. Did I want a rack or a handlebar bag? Would an under-seat bag be okay for my needs? What about those cool rackless bags that attach to the seat pole?
Ultimately, I picked this bag off the shelf because it had enough space for me to pack a lunch, a water bottle, and other essentials like cell phone, pens, notebook, first aid kit, a hat, and a can of spray sunscreen without being overly bulky or big. It also was big enough to hold my Nikon and still have a little room left over. The opening is rigid and can even be left unzipped if you want to stick a water bottle in or stick something else inside that you want available during a ride. My cruiser bike does not have screws for a water bottle holder and so I was forced to improvise a little and this bag was a great solution.
It's very easy to install, just keep in mind you will need a hex key/allen wrench to screw on the small bag clip. The ones you get with Ikea furniture should work but you can find them at hardware stores and they are ridiculously useful these days. It literally took me five minutes to install from start to finish and I had to remove a reflector from the handlebars first!
The bag releases very easily from the clip that holds it unto the bike. You literally just hook your fingers into the loop and pull up with practically no resistance. It comes with a strap if you want to carry it (as it is perfect lunch bag size).
I only wish it was a little easier to close but I think that's a side effect of the rigid opening which is handy enough that it negates the fussiness of the closing. All in all, the perfect choice for a rider who likes to bike somewhere and do something else, whether it be playing some frisbee, reading a book by the lake, eating lunch, or just going on errands, it's a great take-along for every kind of biker.

Comments about Detours Cruiser Handlebar Bag:
We were really pleased with our previous Detours bag and decided to get another one so we would have one on each bike. We specifically went with the Detours brand because of the the KLICKFIX adapter, thinking we could use the new bag with the old adapter and either bag we had could be used on either bike.
However, we didn't see they had completely redesigned the adapter and we will not be able to use either bag on either bike. Very disappointed that this was NOT in mentioned in any of the product literature.
The new adapter looks cheap and poorly made and I do not think it will hold up to much use. We will see though.
