The REI Member Dividend

The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.

My suitcase is black and this made it easily identifiable on the airport baggage carousel. After a 7 hour flight that included two transfers, it was still as tightly clipped as when I checked it.

I took the strap out of the packaging and when I compressed the sides to unsnap the buckle, one of the prongs broke off. I couldn't believe how little pressure it too to snap the plastic, so I pushed with medium-light pressure on the other side and it also snapped off. I'm a huge fan of REI products, but these straps are junk. Now I have to travel without straps on my bags and figure out a time to run back to the store to return them. Frustrating.
