      pearl's elite chamois is the best chamois i've found for my weary long distance rides. even though it's pricey, from my experience the chamois is worth it. i have several shorts and tights with this chamois and have no complaints.

        These shorts are close to perfect. I have used them on every ride, and they are comfortable, well-padded, and basically without fault. They are very well-made, and after I put them on, I forget they are there because they feel like a second skin. I have been using them this summer on highway roads, so I cannot comment on how they might perform in cold weather or for mountain biking, but I would guess that they would be just as perfect. They hug in all the right places without constricting. They wick so well that it feels like I do not sweat, even in hot, humid weather.

        I still get "saddle sore" with these after 50 minutes of riding, but I am hoping that is because I am so new to cycling, and that it will get better eventually.

        I am a triathlon newbie in training, so I do not go on rides any longer than 20 miles, but I imagine that they would perform very well for those of you who ride much, much farther. (Of course, I will not wear these on race day because I have heard that chamois swells up like a diaper when immersed in water.)

        Heartily recommended.

          I use these shorts for both road-riding and my spin class and they are awesome! I've ridden 40+ miles in these shorts and they rocked. They are very comfortable, breathable, and wick the moisture. Buy them - they are so worth it.
