Comments about Kelty Redwing 2650 Pack:
I love this pack. I'm on my 2nd Kelty pack in this style. It's really durable, roomy, and the pockets are easy to get into. The zippers are strong and don't get caught in the fabric. I really put my backpacks to the test as I use them as a gym bag, bike commute with them, hike with them and also carry my laptop in it. I'm not gentle with them and this one has really stood up to the test and isn't showing any wear.

Comments about Kelty Redwing 2650 Pack:
Currently using the pack to commute to and from work. The side zip pockets are great for the REI thermos or a small stainless steel water bottle and are easy to access. The fleece glasses holder works well, and protects the glasses. The compartments are big enough to hold a coat when the temp warms up in the afternoon, but not too big to make you feel like you are lugging a big pack. Even when loaded doesn't feel bulky. A versatile pack for work, play, and travel.

Comments about Kelty Redwing 2650 Pack:
I bought this pack 4 years ago before moving overseas. It has literally been around the world 3 times. It will hold my laptop along with clothes, essentials, pens, keys, etc... It is great to take on a long weekend trip or to take as a carry-on.
However, if you are looking for something to pack for 2 weeks, you need to look at other bags.
I grab it whenever I go on a long weekend trip or on a several week trip to take on the plane. I highly recommend this pack. It has been well-worth the money.

Comments about Kelty Redwing 2650 Pack:
This pack went up Kilimanjaro and Cotopaxi with me and carried my stuff all over Colorado in the past couple years. Last week, my new dog destroyed it after smelling the bag of trail mix left in one pocket. There was no doubt that I would get exactly the same pack again. It's roomy, comfortable, easy to get into and a great day pack for those treks when "day pack" means more than just carrying rain gear. If it were bored Labrador-proof, I'd never need another pack again.

Comments about Kelty Redwing 2650 Pack:
Bought this for two weeks of dayhiking in CO, WY and MT. I carried water, food, jackets and first aid for 4 people with no troubles. The pack has plenty of room for any day hike and I could do an overnight with it if I'm just packing my stuff and a small tent. The pack is very well made, the zippers work great with no snags and most importantly, it's comfortable. It has a sleeve for a bladder but I didn't use one. I chose to stuff two 1 liter Nalgenes in the outside mesh pockets. The bottles were easy to get to while I was hiking. Didn't test it in the rain but I doubt it would keep things dry in a heavy rain, as most daypacks probably won't. I got a medium Sea to Summit bag and stuffed in the bottom in case I needed it to keep camera stuff and jackets dry in a downpour. Higly recommend this pack and see it lasting me for many years to come.

Comments about Kelty Redwing 2650 Pack:
I have used this pack on small trips and on some larger. It is a well balanced, light pack. I went on a trip recently and was able to pack sleeping bag(REI zephyr), Tent (Mounatin Harwear 2 man) clothes for 4 days and food, with all the usual entertainment with no problems or issues. Kelty hit a homerun with this one.
