I often travel internationally on business. Frequently airlines limit carry-on luggage to typical 22 inch roller bags or 45 linear inch limit. This is a problem when traveling with a laptop and you want to work in the plane, or have a laptop bag/pack for trips to office, and still have some space for a change of clothes and toiletries. This bag combines a small suitcase back, about 19 inches long, with a small backpack with a laptop sleeve. The pack zips on the suitcase to create one roller bag that, when packed to capacity, is about 48 linear inches - but if packed a little lighter is close to 45 linear inches. On the plane, you can unzip the pack to have it handy, and put the suitcase overhead. I bought it for a business trip to Brussels, Istanbul, and DC. It worked great and was allowed on Turkish Airlines (which only allows one bag with about 45 linear inches) and Luthansa. Very nice organization in the laptop-friendly pack, which held 14.1 inch laptop easily (doubt it would hold 15.4 inch laptop). The suitcase is recommended to hold 18 inch pack-it folder, pack-it cube, and wallaby 2 toiletry kit. It will hold those or similar, and maybe a couple of small things around edges.
