      I bought these socks due to their light feel and eco-friendly promotion copy. Alas, after just 10 miles(!) there is a hole in the right sock at the ball of the foot and the left sock is showing stress marks in the fabric. Nice sock for wearing around town on warm days, I expect, but NOT for running or hiking.

            I like how they're tight and light. I don't like how stiff they feel. They're not soft at all, and apparently you're not supposed to put them through the dryer or else they'll get even more stiff. I bought these for about[$]a pair and I wouldn't pay any more for them.

              Not sure what a "conditioning exerciser" is, but I use these socks everyday to work out = run, lift weights, core exercises, stair climb, etc. I bought them to explore a "green" fiber and didn't really expect much. They have become my favorite sock. Cushy but not soft. Been wearing them for a year with no signs of wear. I treat them just like my other workout socks. Great buy.

                I use these for ultimate frisbee. they work a bit better than conventional athletic socks as they seem more durable (mud stains and sweat washes out) and they dont get too soggy when it is raining. don't pay full price.
