Comments about Sierra Designs Trade Wind +15 Sleeping Bag - Long:
Well made, waterproof (resistant), a bit heavy because of the DriZone. Mine has the 800-fill weight. Bag is a bit on the cold side, more of a 25-30F bag not 15deg as stated. [...] will elaborate on how subjective temperature ratings are but I've owned everything from the early Eddie Bauer expedition bags, the early West Coast custom shop bags, to a few of the early all-down blue kazoos so I have experience in down-bag performance. I'll push the extreme edges of early spring and late fall w/ temps down in the low 20's to maybe high teens. This bag has left me cold too many times even when wearing patagonia capilene and a 200-fleece over shirt. My all-down blue kazoos could handle these temps better. Also, hand-washing the bag is extremely difficult due to the DriZone fabric resisting the water and trapping air. I've resigned the bag to paddling trips and car camping. A few reviews at other sites also state that the bag sleeps a bit on the cold side.
