Marin MBX 50 is a small bike for the young rider who dreams of riding BMX with the big kids.

  • BMX-style crankset and handlebar let the little guy or gal feel a part of the action, too
  • 6061 aluminum is strong and lightweight; young riders can wheel the bike around and put it away easily
  • Single-speed bike features a coaster (foot) brake and hand rear brakes, so a young rider is never without a way to stop
  • Suspension front fork—just like on bigger bikes—features 40mm travel to soften those minor bumps that get in the way
  • Adjustable training wheels speed the learning process

After its initial break-in period you might notice your bicycle performing less responsively than the day you brought it home. Not to worry, this is typical of all new bicycles and simply reflects that cables have stretched or their housings have seated themselves into final position. To keep running at peak performance, all REI bicycles come with a FREE warranty tune-up, which should be accomplished between the first 100-200 miles of riding or after the first two months if you're accumulating miles less quickly.
