Marin Stinson is built with rider positioning and safety in mind, and to make the job of getting in shape quite simply a whole lot of fun!

  • The geometry of the lightweight 6061 aluminum frame places you in an upright position; it's easy on the back and better for seeing traffic all around
  • Spinner Enroute AC front shock provides 63mm travel and, in combination with the suspension seat post, eases you over jarring bumps in the road
  • Your energy powers the bike efficiently forward via the Suntour XCC crankset, sealed cartridge bottom bracket and 7-speed, 14-28 cassette
  • Shimano shifters and derailleurs shift easily and smoothly through all 21 speeds
  • Wheel components include alloy, 36-hole rims and hubs, plus Kendra Krossplus 26x1.95 in. tires, suitable for street and non-aggressive dirt riding
  • Marin Comfort saddle provides the support and cushion required for day-long riding
  • No special shoes required—platform pedals accommodate a variety of casual shoes

After its initial break-in period you might notice your bicycle performing less responsively than the day you brought it home. Not to worry, this is typical of all new bicycles and simply reflects that cables have stretched or their housings have seated themselves into final position. To keep running at peak performance, all REI bicycles come with a FREE warranty tune-up, which should be accomplished between the first 100-200 miles of riding or after the first two months if you're accumulating miles less quickly.
