Marin Alpine 29er hardtail trail bike boasts 29 in. wheels to enhance your attack and speed on varied terrain.

After its initial break-in period you might notice your bicycle performing less responsively than the day you brought it home. Not to worry, this is typical of all new bicycles and simply reflects that cables have stretched or their housings have seated themselves into final position. To keep running at peak performance, all REI bicycles come with a FREE warranty tune-up, which should be accomplished between the first 100-200 miles of riding or after the first two months if you're accumulating miles less quickly. Comments about Marin Alpine Trail 29er Bike - 2008:

The Marin 29er looks great with the cool paint and the oversized tires. Bike is probably pretty heavy compared to most since it so bulky, but it rides well. It seems to be at a decent price, but I had to add some Egg Beaters and it could probably use a sleeker seat. Components will need an upgrade, as they are lower end Shimano, but for an entery level bike, I think this is a pretty good deal.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
