Comments about The North Face Paramount Porter Convertible Pants - Women's Tall:
What's up with convertible pants that require you to remove your boots to convert?? I'm sitting in the office today wearing a new pair of Paramounts that are perfect...I ended up buying the men's pants. North Face should be ashamed of themselves! The men's version is still stylishly cut though sit at the natural waist, has tons of useful pockets that lay flat and don't scream "cargo pants", nearly invisible zippered cuffs, and comes in 30", 32" and 34" inseams. If you're tall and slim, give the men's pants a try!

Comments about The North Face Paramount Porter Convertible Pants - Women's Tall:
Once again, REI has failed to include information about the rise on women's pants. These pants are definitely low rise - you'd show way more than you want if you sit or bend over. Not to mention sunburn where it would really hurt. Also, these pants are not shaped for women, who have waists and hips. They are made for girls (or even boys!) whose waists and hips are about the same size.
Service and delivery comments:
Very good shipping speed and secure packaging.

Comments about The North Face Paramount Porter Convertible Pants - Women's Tall:
I have had these pants for a year now, and I love them! They seem to run a little big, I wear a 4 or 6, got the 6 just in case, and the waist is a little big. It took a long time to find this type of pants that come in a tall - I'm 5'7 and these are plenty long. I also like that they sit lower on the waist, and are flattering-they can be worn shopping in town or out for a hike. The only complaint I have is that there are no zippers on the legs, so I have to take off my shoes to change them into shorts.

Comments about The North Face Paramount Porter Convertible Pants - Women's Tall:
I have looked for convertible pants that were long enough and not frumpy for years...I finally found them! I am normally a size 4, but ordered a size 6 because most reviews said to order one size bigger than usual. They fit like a normal size 6 to me, but I like that they are a little baggy, so I kept them. The draw string in the waste helps them fit perfectly. I'm 5'9" and the long length is great. I have to fold them up with sandals, but perfect with boots.

Comments about The North Face Paramount Porter Convertible Pants - Women's Tall:
I wanted a pair of convertible pants that I could wear hiking and backpacking but were also stylish enough for around town errands. I'm 5'10.5" tall and slim so by the time i get pants that are long enough, they are falling off the waist or saggy in the butt. I wear a size 4 or 6 long in jeans and the 4 and 6 long in these pants fit like I would expect. I went with the 6 for a little bit more length when I wear boots. Minus one star for having to take off boots to convert to shorts and for the behind being a little frumpy.

Comments about The North Face Paramount Porter Convertible Pants - Women's Tall:
I grabbed these pants from the Colorado Springs REI on a reassignment trip with my airline...had to escape from hurricane IKE. I got to wear these pants 4 days straight! Between Going downtown to Mckenzie's Chophouse and going dancing, to hiking at seven falls, garden of the gods, and having a full on snowball fight on the top of pikes peak (elevation 14,110ft), I got to really test this convertible pant out. I'm 5'9.5" and the length on these guys were great. Fit was perfect!...finally a pant that doesn't swallow me while failing to even reach my ankles! These will be my go to pants on trips from here on end due to the comfortable and flattering fit:) More colors!

Comments about The North Face Paramount Porter Convertible Pants - Women's Tall:
If you are tall these pants will fit. I am 5'9" and the length is perfect. Regular length pants would be too short. The pants are good fit for a woman's body - slim fitting and not bulky. The shorts are also a stylish length.

Comments about The North Face Paramount Porter Convertible Pants - Women's Tall:
These are great pants, however, as others have mentioned, if you have curves and or a more muscular frame, you might want to size up for added comfort. I'm an athletic build with muscular legs and wear a size 10 in other North Face products. However, upon getting these pants, they just did not fit the way I wanted them to. I found them to be a bit tight in the thighs/quads and as a result, the pants pulled/grabbed on my quads when I went to sit down making them a bit uncomfortable at the zipper where they convert to shorts. In addition, the snaps on the waist would not stay closed. Plenty of room at the waist however, so think this was a product defect. The inseam length is good and it's nice to have a pant available in tall for those of us with long legs that want a pair of pants and not a pair of high waters. I am sending these back for a replacement pair and will be sizing up for personal comfort and the ability to layer underneath as the weather gets cooler. If you are looking for a fit that offers a bit more comfort during performance, you may want to consider sizing up. They are stylish and do ride lower on the waist, which means you better be used to wearing your pants that way or plan on wearing longer shirts if you are concerned about exposing your backside. Overall I would buy them again and wish they offered more colors.

Comments about The North Face Paramount Porter Convertible Pants - Women's Tall:
I bought these pants for a hike on Mt. Rainier this September. I've had a hard time finding the right pair that is long enough to go with my hiking boots. These pants are the right length and best of all, can be worn 3 different ways. The fit is great too. I had a couple more pairs with me but ended up only using this one, because it kept me dry and as light as possible.

Comments about The North Face Paramount Porter Convertible Pants - Women's Tall:
I saw the other reviews that these pants run small. Perhaps in the larger sizes they do but I wear a 0 or 2 in clothes and these only go down to a 2 which is big, but workable on me. I love that they don't have an elastic waist. They're also a lower rise pant which makes them so much more comfortable and flattering. I'd give them 5 stars if they came in better colors and the fabric was a little softer.
