Comments about REI Hobitat 4 Vestibule:
Just get it. You have already spent [$] plus tax for the tent and footprint, you might as well make it a [$] set-up.I think it's a nice addition that makes it harder for bugs to find their way inside your tent.

Comments about REI Hobitat 4 Vestibule:
It takes a lot of adjusting to get it right, not something that is fun in the rain. Even with water pooling on the top, it is solid. Once I got it right it was perfect. My only suggestion is a couple of loops on the corners of the door so that it can be pitched like an awning. That would make it the best seat in the house, even in the rain.

Agree with another reviewer....just get it. It gives you extra private space to do your bidness in the middle of the night (see REI's product sani-fem freshette). You really don't want to experiment with sani-fem in the dark in the same area of your sleeping bags.....'nuff said. You can almost stand in this vestibule.

Comments about REI Hobitat 4 Vestibule:
Reading the instructions will have you scratching your head. You just have to look at it and figure it out on your own. The poles from the tent need to integrate with the tabs on the vestibule. It's hard to describe but I'm not a professional tent instruction writer either. Also, there are tension adjusters on the front loops but the straps are sewn to the material. What's up with that? Is that a production defect or are the adjusters just for show?
But once you get it up and adjusted the extra room is very welcome. Particularly in the fall when you need an area to put your gear so the dew doesn't soak everything.
