The Midland ER102 Emergency Crank Weather Alert Radio serves as an all-purpose emergency tool with NOAA weather, AM/FM radio and built-in flashlight.

  • Dynamo crank allows recharging of the radio during a power outage or any time conventional power sources are unavailable
  • NOAA All Hazards Alert weather radio provides constant alert information and switches seamlessly to weather alert broadcast if radio is in AM/FM mode
  • Offering more than just emergency communications, the ER102 also features AM/FM radio, clock with alarm and integrated three-LED flashlight
  • Backlit LCD display offers easy viewing of important information, even in bad lighting; large buttons and dials provide intuitive operation
  • Uses 3 AA batteries (sold separately) or NiMH rechargeable battery pack (included); rechargeable battery offers about 12 hours average use
  • Battery selector switch lets you choose between power sources; recharge NiMH battery pack via crank or included AC power adapter
  • Cell phone jack on radio and included adapters let you charge your cell phone using the hand crank
  • Crank time estimate: 90 seconds of cranking yields about 30 minutes of AM/FM playback

    Really liked how long the rechargeable batteries stayed charged, and that there are backup options for this with the alkaline batteries and the AC. We weren't really able to charge our cellphones sucessfully, so a little disappointed in that.

    Well made product. Display backlight and temperature sensor very nice touches and powerful flashlight is handy also. A little too sensitive of tuning knob and strange placement of "on/off" button. Needs additional cell phone charger adapters (my new Samsung was not compatible with any of the provided connectors). Do wish that it had a TV band tuner also. Mutiple choices of power makes using the unit very flexible. Rechargable battery seems to last a very long time.

    Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
