Comments about Osprey ReSource Astro Messenger Bag:
Don't look any further. This has everything that you need in a messenger bag. It has the side water bottle holders, padded computer pouch, briefcase handle on top, easy access to everything you need. I have carried 4 textbooks, a binder and my 48oz Nalgene in this baby with room to spare. Just today I commuted to work while carrying textbooks, change of clothing, binders, water, lunch, and etc. It is durable, comfy, and easy to adjust. Everyone else I have seen with this bag loves it too. The black bag is nice enough to take with me to meetings, but I also use it on campus and to travel. I love the folder slot that carries my homework assignments without crushing them. The cell pouch fits my Treo 650 just fine. I could continue, but just go and buy the bag. You will be happy you went with Osprey

Comments about Osprey ReSource Astro Messenger Bag:
I did a good amount of research for my first messenger bag, and could not be happier about this one. It holds anything I ask it to, without taxing me on my cycle based commute, short but effective distance on 10 miles. I thought I would need a pannier rack, but haven't had to add it yet. It has a comfy strap already fitted with a grip ergo cut pad, several great access points, and zippered sections everywhere. It already comes with a removable phone pouch too. It stays right where it's supposed to, cause my commute in is downhill, but coming home is all uphill, and it stays right in the right stop. Great product, superb price, and it's recycled product, an added bonus.

Comments about Osprey ReSource Astro Messenger Bag:
This bag is a great investment. For commuting by bike and foot this bag works great. The laptop compartment is accessible, fitting, and comfortable for transport. I searched long and hard for a quality durable messenger bag that was laptop compatible. Being a petite gal it was hard finding a bag that did not seem overly large. This bag fits the purpose and not only fits great, but looks appealing too.

My astro bag is the only thing I use to carry my computer around. It has lots of extra space for essentials and can pack a ton of stuff inside. It is a little heavy when packed up, but the waist strap helps.

Comments about Osprey ReSource Astro Messenger Bag:
I recently got a second laptop and the bag I had at home was too big and cumbersome. The Osprey Astro was PERFECT.. Its lightweight, durable and holds everything I need - plus its made from recycled materials. It was a double win. I'm a guy, and let's face it - guys do not shop -- we find it, we club and we bring it home. Once I saw the Astro, that was all I needed to see. I bought it and have been using ever since.
If you have a laptop, then you have to get this bag. It does everything except grade my students' papers for me.

No description, comment, or review speaks to the Ospry's water resistance and walking to work in Seattle, all my bags must be highly water resistant. Well, I'm happy to report that it is!! After dozens of 45 minute walks in driving rain, nothing has even gotten damp. Love it!

Comments about Osprey ReSource Astro Messenger Bag:
I use it for my commute for work, my books and things for church and my service posstion there, and whatever else I need to carry. Since I use a 40 oz metal kanteen the mesh pockets don't suffice, but I keep other things it them like my glasses case, mulit-tool, and camera. I needed to take some personals home from work and was wondering if I had the room, but I kept putting more and more in. It did not even look like I had much in the bag when it was closed up and on my shoulder.
I love the waist strap. Works great in balancing the bag and keeping it right where you want it. I have tried to find ways to use all the pockets, adn the possibilities keep increasing. Also, the flap has velro on it to keep it in place while you click in the clasps.
Kudo's to the great work Osprey has done with this bag and their ReSource line.

Awesome bag! A 15.4" laptop and other stuff, including charger, binocs, mouse, leatherman, notepad, files, etc... all fit in the bag! I also love the fact that it's partially (70%) made from recycled materials. Great company, design, and style.

It took me a while to make up my mind, but I like the fact that this is made our of recycled materials. I was not sure if it would be sturdy but it has been awesome! The waist belt really helps take the pressure off the shoulder. I walk to grad school and this is great!!
