Comments about Suunto Lumi Florette Multifunction Watch - Women's:
(I had to rate the product with 1 Star because it would not let me post, however I think the product deserves 0 Stars!!)I bought this watch after my Timex kicked the bucket and I had to buy a watch online because I am deployed and I couldn't just go out and buy a new watch. I chose the Woman's model because I was excited that SUUNTO finially came out with a woman's watch. I have used a Suunto Dive Computer and was pretty pleased with it. I know all my friends that have Men's Suunto watches are pleased with them. With the woman's watch this was not the case. It is completly disassembled when you first open it. This means you must cut the strap and fit it to your wrist. The measuring guide they give you is completly inaccurate. Once I found something to cut the watch I put it back together which was extremly hard and if it isn't done just right the watch will keep opening. The entire time I used the watch I kept having to check it to ensure that the pins were not falling out (which i had to adjust several times a day) Also the watch scratched very easily. The very first day I had the watch I scraped it against my weapon (I am deployed to Iraq right now) and I put a HUGE scratch across the face. Also in comparison to the Men's watch the woman's watch is exactly the same size, except the caseing is a lot less rugged than a man's watch. I used the watch for 3 months and struggled with the minor annoyances of popping the pins back into place, I had a few close calls where I thought I had lost pins. (the pins are made very cheap by the way, I had to use a leatherman to straighten them everytime I put the watch back together. The final straw is when I am writing this review because I am once again shopping online for a new watch because the battery died after 3 months of use [...]. I am extremly disappointed with this SUUNTO product and I do not reccommend anyone purchasing it.

Comments about Suunto Lumi Florette Multifunction Watch - Women's:
I was so excited that Suunto finally made an altimeter for a smaller wrist and I think it looks really slick. I have had a Suunto Advisor for about 2 years now and have hiked with it over 3000 miles. When I got my dividend, I sold my trusty Advisor to my boyfriend for $30.
I noticed on my first hike that the altimeter was inferior to that of my Advisor. It wasn't even accurate to within 700 feet. At home, I noticed that the Storm function was worthless. It kept telling me that a storm was coming and it never came.
The next time I went to go hiking, the battery was dead (in a matter of a couple of weeks). I changed the battery, and the next morning it was out again. I put in yet another battery and it made it only a few hours before the display went out. Now it is making a clicking noise and the screen is flashing in and out. One column of the display pixels is completely burned out.
I returned the watch, but I will not be buying a new Lumi. I am hoping my boyfriend will sell me back my Advisor.

Comments about Suunto Lumi Florette Multifunction Watch - Women's:
I have a Lumi with Florette band. Bought it back in September 2007 when it first came out because my husband has Suunto Observer and he is very happy with it. I needed similar watch but none of the good brands made one for women. The computer is OK, works as desribed in the specifications. Would benefit from some additional features like 2 or more alarms, countdown w/ repeat feature, something that would show me on the main screen what time the alarm would go off, as well as an option to turn the alarm on/off certain days of the week or for the weekend. All in all, I am happy with the computer. However, I had issues with the butterfly clasp since day one. The slightest tension or a touch of a feather would make it pop up. That is how I got the glass scratched. Wanted to have it repaired but the closest authorized service is in ... UT (I am in PA). I did not want to go without the watch for 2 weeks so I hesitated sending it. Did not want to spend extra [$] for a new band either. That clasp issue turned out to be way too annoying and I finally decided to send my Lumi in for repair. According to DHL the package was delivered last Monday, 4/21/08. As of today, 4/28/08 I have not been sent confirmation from Suunto, did not get a phone call. Nothing. Total blackout. Called Suunto Cust. Svs to follow up today. Apparently, they are unable to repair the clasp. Will put on a new band. However, the Florette is backordered. Will be delivered sometime in the middle of May. Which means that I will have to wait for a month (or more!) to have my watch back... I am not the only one with this issue. Read other people's reviews, they also complained about the band. There is no way that Suunto does not know about the clasp issue. If they really respected and appreciated their customers, Suunto should have sent each one of us who bought a faulty clasp Florette a new Sportif band, free of charge. To make it up for the everyday frustration (and the additional one month without a watch during the repair) we had to go through after having paid more than [$] for the Lumi. That is the right thing to do if they are to have loyal customers. At this point both my husband and I are seriously reconsidering our loyalty to Suunto. I don't even want to think how they would have treated me if I had a more serious issue with the wrist-top computer. [...]

Comments about Suunto Lumi Florette Multifunction Watch - Women's:
I bought this watch on May 8th after the $90 Roxy watch I wore since 2002 got broken. It seemed like a nice upgrade and with a one year warranty plus the high cost I thought I would be good for another 5 years. NOT SO! I only got to wear the watch for about 2 weeks when the strap started falling apart.[...] If you want to waste a few hundred dollars for something you won't even be able to use, this is the way to go. I wish there was a "zero" star rating. The replacement strap is $59.95 on Amazon.

Comments about Suunto Lumi Florette Multifunction Watch - Women's:
I bought this watch for my wife before a big backpacking trip to Patagonia. At first the watch worked well, but then the compass started getting really screwy, changing directions even if we stood still. Two days before we left, the battery died, so we took it back to REI. [...] the watch had been recalled because of the battery problem, but that the newer models had been fixed. So, we left for Patagonia with the new watch in hand. But, before we even got to Chile, the watch had completely frozen and could not be reset. We were counting on this watch to keep track of the rapidly changing weather in Torres del Paine, but instead we just had to rely on dumb luck. We will return the second watch. I don't think we'll try another Suunto watch again.
