Comments about Novara Corsa Bike:
I am retired and was looking for a street bike to ride for excerise. [...] suggested I try this bike and it is a perfect bike for my riding. In addition to street, I road 17 miles on the Virginia Creeper trail and found the bike to be great for this type riding. This bike is well built and everyone who had ridden the bike always talk about how smooth the bike is on the road.

Comments about Novara Corsa Bike:
Bought this bike at REI in Pittsburg. I used to do alot of riding and now that I am older I wanted to ride alot but the conventional mountain bikes were not very comfortable. This bike can go anywhere for long distanes, shifts very smoothly, and gives you a comfortable ride. This is great bike for the rails to trails in the area and you can ride for a long time without getting the aches and minor pains you would get on your conventional mountain bikes. Great product.

I just got mine a month ago and i'm very impressed. I just made some few minor adjustments and it fit me perfect. It took me awhile finding the right bike for me and found this. Lightweight, well constructed, durable i may say. I tried it off road too and was very pleased. This bike has a lot more to offer. Can't go wrong :)

Comments about Novara Corsa Bike:
Like other reviewers, I found that I could no longer ride my old drop-bar road bike comfortably for all sorts of reasons - starting with a stiff neck, and including difficulty breathing well while pretzeled over the handlebars. With a substantial dividend in hand, I went to REI in search of a granny-geared hybrid with an upright seating position. And there was the Novara Corsa, and it came in a short enough frame size, 14'', to accomodate yours truly's stride. It doesn't weigh much more than my old bike, has better gearing with grip shifters (which are a gift from the Bike Gods and WAY better than the other kind), and will go on the local dirt trails for horses as well as the Class I river trail bikepath (just over 20 miles to the beach, but I'm not ready for that quite yet -- working up to it, though). Great bike for a more than decent price.

Comments about Novara Corsa Bike:
This bike is a motivator to get out there and ride. Easy and smooth riding! Lots of gears to keep you going up and down slopes or straight ahead. Breaks are much better than what I am used to. The shock on the front fork and seat post really do help with the bumps and curbs. I did change the seat out for one that has more gel padding and I added a mirror. It came with a bell and that comes in handy.

Comments about Novara Corsa Bike:
Last year my son talked me into training for a Century Ride (100 miles in one day). He and the coach encouraged me to buy a 'real' Century capable road bike. But I had enjoyed my Corsa so much that I only changed the tire size. We are planning on riding another Century this year. Oh, YES . . . I completed the 2008 Apple Cider Century without any problem - hills and all - on my Corsa. And I'm not buying a new bike for this years Century! Did I mention I'm going to be 65 this year? Ride on . . . . Novara Corsa.

Comments about Novara Corsa Bike:
I would like to say that this is the best bike that I have owned that can be used for multiple terrains. Got this at the REI store in Boise and promptly took it for a spin as it was my transportation for home. Decided that I was going to need to get a bike soon as I was getting tired of walking to the bus stop for work which is over 3 miles. I plan on using this bike for mostly commuting around town but do plan on taking it up into some of the mountain trails around town. And since my car has been dead for a little over a week this is the next fastest way to get from place to place.

Comments about Novara Corsa Bike:
I ride for exercise, but not hard training. On the level (in AZ) it's easy to get this bike into high gear and cruise for miles. In the foot hills (CO front range) the lower gears keep me going without undue strain.
My biggest complaint is a brighter color would make it look like I'm going faster.
The grips are comfortable, but twist easily as I ride. (An REI bike tech recommended hair spray inside the grip to solve that.) Because it's a twist shifter the grips are shorter, which reduces your choice of replacement grips.
The handle bar end caps pop off easily, but the mushroom shaped plastic corks from sparkling apple juice bottles make great replacements and protect the handle bar ends better than the black end caps.

I bought this after being out of biking for over 20 years. It's been great -- now doing frequent rides of 20-25 miles. Hope to get up to doing my first century ride this summer. Pull my 4 year old on a Trail-A-Bike behind it with no problem.

Comments about Novara Corsa Bike:
This is the first bike I have owned in probably 16 years and I love it! It's the perfect bike to get back into cycling. It is lightweight, easy to handle, and comfortable. I've had this bike for a year now and use it mostly to ride around town for excersize and recreation. I have taken it off road on light park trails like the ones at Lodi Lake in Lodi, CA with no problems. One of the first rides I went on was about 12 miles with little discomfort (and that can be attributed to my lack of physical activity!). This is a great bike!
