These Smith Whisper Interlock sunglasses introduce a new twist to the Smith interchangeable lens system with an intuitive way to switch your lenses in any sport or lighting condition!

With the new Interlock Interchangeable system, simply rotate a temple to slightly open and close frame for lens changing
Polarized lenses reduce 99% of visible glare from water, snow, sand and pavement for increased visual acuity and decreased eye strain
Each frame includes one set of polarized lenses (tint depends on frame color) and two additional sets of lenses for a total of three sets of lenses
Nonpolarized, additional lenses are ideal for low- and medium light and nighttime
Grilamid® TR90 lightweight nylon frames offer a consistent fit and flexibility in all temperatures and are extremely impact resistant
Scratch- and impact-resistant Carbonic™ lenses use Tapered Lens Technology from Smith™ to provide distortion-free vision
Tapered Lens Technology™ progressively tapers the lens toward the outer edge, allowing distortion-free vision

I am a fan of Smith sunglasses. However, I believe this model is flawed. After purchasing these glasses, I noticed that the lenses do not fit the frames well, leaving a "gap" where sunlight comes in.

I bought these glasses to replace a 5+ year old pair of Bolle sunglasses that had recently broken. I think that the frame is actually stronger than it looks, but I would expect the frame to appear a bit more substantial for the price (looks a bit flimsy/cheap). I have not had problems with gaps letting light leak through, however I only changed the lenses out once to see how it worked. I don't really see myself using the extra lenses that come with the sunglasses so hopefully I will not run into the problems the other reviewer encountered.

I would recommend these glasses for casual use or light use, they do not seem like adequate protection is provided for activities like biking or climbing. Also, I would have concerns about durability if one plans on frequently changing lenses.

I am on my second pair after my pup ate my first pair. For me, these are one of the best and most versitale sunglasses I have owned. I have a small to medium sized face, so these fit me well with very little light gap between the frame and my face. But it is critical to try these on to see how well they fit you before buying them. I have had no issue with the interlock system and the lens fit perfectly on both pair.

The brown color is a coating on transparent green plastic. I tend to hold my sunglasses in my mouth when not on my face and have worn the brown and the underlying silver off at the ends. Also has flaked off around the lenses. Would expect more durable color from Smith, but I love wearing them. They are super light and comfortable.
