Comments about Cat Eye Single Shot Plus Front Bike Light:
I just bought this headlight as a replacement for my Light and Motion Vega. The Cateye is better in that the light last longer, easier to install on the handlebar, has a wider beam and is easier to recharge.

Comments about Cat Eye Single Shot Plus Front Bike Light:
I just got one of these for my bike for commuting after using an HL-530 for the last year. For my commute this is a much better light; it's brighter, projects just as far, and provides excellent peripheral light. I've only used it on a few test rides through my neighborhood so far, but I've already seen how well it works.
The light as a whole feels solid and well made; the case is slim and well designed, and the lens assembly in particular looks precisely manufactured. The offset LED arrangement seems very well designed to, as it definitely throws a very good wide and strong beam. I also like that the battery is self contained in the unit; no external wires, ties, or other brackets to deal with. It clips right on and off with no hassle and I can bring it in and hook it right up to the charger.

Comments about Cat Eye Single Shot Plus Front Bike Light:
I hesitated at first when deciding to buy this light because of the price, but it was worth every penny. I mainly ride to and from work where there are some areas with no street lights at all. My old cat eye just was not good enough to see the road in total darkness. This light is very bright and can project a wide beam some distance in front of you. It was very easy to mount and remove for charging. I mainly ride on rough streets and it stays in place. I have not taken it off road-so I cannot comment on that. This is a great general purpose bike headlight.

Comments about Cat Eye Single Shot Plus Front Bike Light:
I've been using this light for the last 6 months and am fairly impressed. Wide and bright beam, I've even been flashed by drivers for it. Long lfe on a charge as well. I work nights and bicycle to work everyday, so this light is great for that. But...
It is a very heavy light, which accounts for most of it's cons. 1. no matter how tight the mount is, it's only plastic. Hit a bump, pothole, or crack hard, or a few in succession the light starts to rotate on the bar. 2. because of the price, you don't want to leave it on the bike, but it's too heavy and bulky to carry comfortably. 3. It's just dang HEAVY. 4. the light doesn't have an indicator, nor does it dim before it dies. It just dies.
I'd recommend this light for night commutes, but not much more than that. Wouldn't take it on the trail otherwise it'll turn around and blind you.

Comments about Cat Eye Single Shot Plus Front Bike Light:
Wonderful light. Great visibility. Long battery life. Everything going for it BUT the mounting system. To disingage you have to press a tiny latch that is very hard for my self or my wife to find. Any bend in your handlebar and forget accessing it. Just about impossible to remove on a warm day. I believe is is impossible in cold weather or with a glove. I would not recommend it to any one who would remove it to prevent theft.

Comments about Cat Eye Single Shot Plus Front Bike Light:
At first I was very impressed with this light -- great visibility, battery/light all in one package (vs. separate battery). But while riding to work one morning, I went over a small crack in the road and BAM, the bottom part of the light that attaches to the clamp on the bars broke! No more light. No fixing it either since it is part of the molded part of the light casing. Now I have a really weird flashlight.
