    Great idea, poor execution

    We are avid cyclists and love our bike computers. So when we saw this gadget for our BOB Revolution, we knew it was right up our alley. However, after using it for 2 weeks, we ended up returning it for the following reasons:

    1) It doesn't keep track of total mileage. The total odometer resets every 24 hours, so you only see your current trip mileage. This was the main attraction to us - we wanted to know how far we have been walking since our baby was born! No such luck.
    2) The wheel magnet is super super sensitive and even the slightest micro-millimeter of movement will make it so that it doesn't sense the sensor and the whole computer doesn't work. Very frustrating. This means if you fold up the stroller or even move the long sensor arm AT ALL, it will be out of alignment and you will have to attempt to realign it while also attending to your crabby baby in the stroller! Not an easy feat.
    3) The display is nice and large, but there's no good place to mount it on a BOB. It only fits on the handle bars where you would be pushing the stroller.

    As I said, we are avid cyclists and have used many types of cycling computers in the past, so we are savvy with these types of products. Upon returning this Strollometer, we have decided to purchase a cyclometer instead and rig it to fit our stroller. I think we'll be much happier!

      I came across the Strollometer after I unsuccessfully tried to rig up a bike computer onto my BOB -the wireless transmission did not go far enough. The Strollometer solved that issue. Excellent range. Easy installation. And the numbers have been accurate (we know the distances well!) Overall, I'm very happy with it.

        I bought this great device to monitor how long, far, and the speed to maintain. It comes with a clock, and temp. reading. It is very easy to install. IT has other features that are great. I love it because he helps to motivate when you know how far you have gone and the time. Also, when you stop for a while you just push the button and it picks up from where you left off.

              I'm an avid cyclist so I was excited to see this product for my new BOB. It performs just as reliably as my way more expensive bike computer, yet is really simple to install and use. Clear instructions. It's held up well. For something wireless, this is a steal at the price.

                My friend got me the strollometer for a baby shower gift. I've been using my Strollometer to help me train for a half marathon. It fits perfectly on my BOB and I get to spend time with with my baby as I train. Great solid product. This is now the gift I give my friends for their baby showers.

                        When I saw this product I was so excited, however after installation I was very disappointed. The magnet does not stay in place, even after cleaning the wheel like suggested. I eventaully crazy glued the magnet to the wheel. Every time I go over a rock, bump or fold up the stroller the sensor needs to be reset. The sensor has been reset so many times, the sensor has now broken away from the strap. I would return this product if I could. This product is definitely not worth the price.

                            Got this for my daughter, who runs daily with the double, "bob". I should have listened to the negative reviews. With a "stick-on" magnet to the spokes of the stoller, difficult to sync, instructions, do not get wet! We really wanted this to be a quality buy, (like most REI equipment is), but this is junk. Sent back the next day for refund. Don't make the same mistake we did.

                                First off- the batteries where dead when I bought it and therefore I should have known! Then, you constantly have to readjust the sensor so it will be picked up, especially if you fold your stroller down to take it places. As a serious runner I thought this would be a fun way to track my miles on the new routes I have to take with the stroller. Unfortunately it only has 4 or 5 pre set speeds so I'm not really sure how fast I'm going because the same speed registers for different paces. Therefore, I'm not convinced it's really knows how far I've run. You would be better of spending the money towards a new GPS watch. That's what I'm now going to do now.
