Comments about Coast Camp Light:
For the price this light is very versatile. Used as a flashlight the light is very bright and focused. The refractor rod attachment is a nice feature; it casts a soft florescent like light. The refractor rod can still be used as a flashlight when connected as there is no end to block the light coming from the end of the attachment. It comes with a carrying bag that has a belt loop that fits the flashlight and lantern. Only con is when the refractor rod is put on the flashlight the assembly is long.

Comments about Coast Camp Light:
This has turned out to be a great camping light. Hanging the light from the ceiling of the tent provides enough light for routine activities without causing eye strain. On a recent camping trip we were stuck in the rain for several days and put up a shade tent over a picnic table to avoid the rain. Five of us cooked and ate under the shade tent during the evening using this light, hanging it from the ceiling cord. Everyone commented on the soft glow from the light allowing for casual conversation, being able to look each other in the face and enjoying our meal.
This light has worked out so well that we rarely bring out gas lantern.
The included case stores and protects the two piece light as well as keeping it organized.
Still can be used as a regular flashlight with or without the refractor rod.

Comments about Coast Camp Light:
The carrying case and extra batteries add to the value. The light is bright for a tent or emergencies but it's not going to replace my flashlight. Button can accidentally be pressed and turned on. I'm unable to screw on the refractor rod all the way, i'm afraid it might get stuck or i'll break it. maybe this is just an issue with my product.

Comments about Coast Camp Light:
I was looking for something small and light that would work as a flashlight and a tent light and possibly a task light. This one actually fits the bill. It's extremely versatile. It's plenty bright as a flashlight for finding your way around a dark campsite and the performance as a tent light is fantastic. The refracting attachment is smartly designed. Overall, the weight and size is super small compared to conventional lanterns that adjust to flashlights. It seems durable enough, about on par with other Coast products. The switch is pressure-operated and on the side so I have a few reservations about it being accidentally turned-on while in its case if packed tightly. So far this hasn't been an issue as the amount of pressure needed to turn it on is more than just a bump. For the price I highly recommend it for people who want to save weight and space and get two lights in one.

Comments about Coast Camp Light:
This LED lantern is very bright and comes very useful as both a flashlight or camplight. It comes with its own carrying case that secures the flashlight and refracter. It's very light weight and has great mobility compared to old propane or LED lanterns that can't fit into small or tight places. It unscrews into 2 parts for easy carrying and the battery life is amazing! 43 hours and super bright.

Comments about Coast Camp Light:
This is a great little light, perfect for using in the tent. Also good for using outside at night as it is bright for a single LED but dim enough so it doesn't ruin your night vision when you turn it on. The rod attachment is sturdy, and it's nice that you can take it off and use the rest as a normal flashlight.

Comments about Coast Camp Light:
there are better laterns out there, and there are better flashlights out there, but this is one of the best combinations i have ever seen. it gives off plenty of light and is really easy to use. the carrying case with extra batteries is a plus. the latern attachment came a little loose on mine (not the screw part, where it attaches to the screw) because i'm an idiot and tried to pull it off instead of unscrewing it (we were drinking and i was trying to show off my cool new toy) but i went right back in, i put in a little glue just to make sure when i got back home, but it seemed solid enough without it.
