Comments about ASICS Gel-Nimbus 9 Road-Running Shoes - Men's:
I took a chance on these shoes because at the time that I bought them they were on sale. I wasn't expecting much. However, these shoes feel great. I like the fact that they are so breathable. You can feel the wind flowing between your toes as you run in them. The gel cushioning is effective. Since I started wearing the ASIC Gel-Nimbus 9, I feel that there is less discomfort to my knees and feet after a long day in them. They are also very lightweight, yet provide plenty of support. Before I wore these shoes I was a Nike man. Not any more. I hope they last a long time. Feel free to give them a shot. I'm happy with my purchase.

Comments about ASICS Gel-Nimbus 9 Road-Running Shoes - Men's:
First, on ANY shoe make sure you get a professional fitting. The right shoe for me may not be the right shoe for you due to foot shape, biomechanics, weight, training surface, etc. I'm 6'1" 210lbs and am a neutral midfoot to forefoot striker. Have been running in the Nimbus line for 3 years (6th pair) and do 25 - 35 miles per week. Previously ran in other neutral or light stability shoes that I would either crush due to my weight or develop body tweaks (achilles tendinitis, minor knee aches, etc), no such issues since making the Nimbus the primary shoe. I have a fairly narrow heel and wear D width street and running shoes. Biofit panels on instep and outer toe joint helps fit a wider range of feet. Recommend this shoe due to mixture of cushioning comfort but firm enough midsole to get the 300+ miles out of the shoe. Outer sole lasts much longer than the midsole so don't run your shoes tread-bare.

Comments about ASICS Gel-Nimbus 9 Road-Running Shoes - Men's:
It has great cushion, but no arch support.
I loved it for the first month, but not later on.
Not good if you live in a hilly area.
The Asics 2130 does not have this problem.

Comments about ASICS Gel-Nimbus 9 Road-Running Shoes - Men's:
Running shoes always fit my feet funny, mostly too tight, but i have been running in Asics' Gel-Nimbus for the past 2 years and i will not buy another running shoe again. Very durable, long lasting, and feel amazing on the feet. Plus, there are so many different styles that you can always find the perfect look.

Comments about ASICS Gel-Nimbus 9 Road-Running Shoes - Men's:
I have been running in Asics for 5 years now. I switched from New Balance because they were too wide. This is the third version of the Gel-Nimbus that I've ran on and definitely the best. These shoes are perfect for big runners (I'm 6'0" 185lbs) with high arches who do not over-pronate. I have a narrow heel and high arches, so I get a lot of blisters. These are the best fitting shoes I've owned. I recently tried out Asics' Gel-Kinsei shoes which were too firm for me. I am a hard heel striker and they didn't have enough cushioning, which led to minor heel pain. I just went for my second run in the Nimbus 9's and I was very impressed. My heel stayed snug in the shoe and the cushioning is the best I've ever felt. The Nimbus 9 is nice and soft, and the heel to toe transition is silky smooth. I guess that's why they are a Runner's World Editor's Choice. If you have wide feet, or low arches; stay away. But if you have high arches and get a lot of heel blisters; theses are for you.
