    Comments about Basic Essentials: Map and Compass - 3rd Edition:

    This would be a much better book if the info was explained more clearly. I found myself going "Huh?" more than once. A better book IMO on compass and navigation is "The Essential Wilderness Navigator" by David Seidman. It's easier to understand and read. So I would forego "Basic Essentials" for something else.
