Comments about WrightSock CoolMesh Double-Layer Ankle Socks - Seconds:
This is the only sock that I will use when doing my long runs. The two layer design totally works for my feet and solved friction and blister problems immediately. The only issue is they seem to stain easily but that's probably my fault since I don't do anything special to wash them.

I bought several gray pairs of these sox to use on a safari in sub-Saharan East Africa during their summer. I wore a pair every day in my Keene sandals and they were comfortable, cool, and prevented blisters.

I only use these for daily wear and when they wear out I will not replace them. I tried them on a short dayhike on hilly terrain and had hotspots after 3miles.

Comments about WrightSock CoolMesh Double-Layer Ankle Socks - Seconds:
I used to get blisters all the time with my padded supersox running socks, even on shorter 3 mile runs. Since switching to the wrightsock, I have yet to get a blister on runs up to 10 miles. I swear by these for running! The two layers rub against each other rather than your foot, which serves to eliminate blister-causing friction. The previous reviewer was using these socks for hiking - I would recommend trying the thicker wrightsock that is specifically made for hiking. I have both types of wrightsock and would not attempt to hike in the running socks or run in the hiking socks. That said, I've been extremely happy with each version for its intended purpose!

I wear this sock whenever I can. They are thicker than a normal sock on the bottom but have a thin breathing layer on the top. I've worn them on 7 mile hikes and runs. I enjoy them most with sneakers when I want to give my feet a break from thin Dress socks and uncomfortable dress shoes. These really are more comfortable than a regular athletic sock. although slightly $$$ for socks

Comments about WrightSock CoolMesh Double-Layer Ankle Socks - Seconds:
I thought these would be an improvement for long runs, but I actually prefer generic Adidas running socks (though I know much better can be had) to these. These do very little to help with friction, and my blistering actually increased. They also are simply not comfortable after running any distance. I could never wait to take the socks off at the end of a long run. I say, either go with cheaper (adidas nike) socks, or get a better brand such as wigwam or fox river.
