Comments about Jetboil FluxRing Fry Pan - 8":
I took this pan backpacking with the Enchantment twice this summer and love the size. I was able to make bacon and eggs with out any issues at all. the pan cooks for the most part very evenly. and I love the orange plastic bottom I was able to us this as a plate.
In reading the other review I am not sure why it would take them so long to clean out. what i recommand is wipe it clean if there are some brown spots on the bottom when you get home take some soft sbrub to it it will come out as good as new.
Over all I think it was a great pan I have all the other jet boil products and I think this pan and the cup are the 2 I will always take with me.

This pan heats well and evenly. The handles are stable enough and have a nice feature of folding away instead having to worry about packing a pot lifter. There is a plastic bottom that covers the FluxRing (and allows you to store a Jetboil retractable spatula).
My biggest complaint about this is the lack of a plastic lid (such as the one found on the Jetboil Cooking Pot). If not stored/packed properly, the pan edges can easily scratch other unprotected/uncovered items. Depending on the amount of gear you will be carrying, the pan may be a little heavy for backpacking. Overall, for simple car camping it's fine. I would highly recommend getting the Jetboil Pot Support and Stabilizer Kit if you will be using it with this product.

Comments about Jetboil FluxRing Fry Pan - 8":
Since I indicated above that I am comfort-driven, I can safely say that I do not want to spend too much time washing dishes in the woods. I thought it would be as easy as cleaning a teflon pan at home, so I went and spent the big bucks on this pan. Needless to say, I am quite disappointed. It would also be nice if it came with a lid. I had to improvise instead. The good points are that the bottom of the pan sits nicely on the stove and it does not shift. It is light-weight.

Really not sure why people are squawking about this. I was able to turn the burner down and cook eggs with it without any problems.

Comments about Jetboil FluxRing Fry Pan - 8":
This pan is overpriced. It does not work well on the Jetboil stove even with the "Jetboil Pot Support"--another $20. As pointed out by others, you have to improvise a pan lid--another cost. The Jetboil stove cannot be controlled enough to do a gentle simmer w/ this pot. Things burn/stick in the middle of the pan. Fortunately for me, I have a new MSR WindPro stove, and this pan (w/ my lid) works fine w/ that stove.

I hesitated to spend the [$] on a pan with no lid, but I absolutely love my jetboil with the original pot and larger group pot, so I went for it.Big mistake! First trip out I tried to make some potato cakes i the morning and almost instantly the things were permanently fused to the 'nonstick' bottom. I got home and experimented with different oils, etc. Can't find anything that doesn't burn onto the thing. I went to the local dollar store and found the same size pan, (nonstick!) and just tore off the handle and used my old trusty MSR handle. Boy, if i could do that over.

Fine pan for two people but no more than that. It should be 10". Found a 10" folding handle fry pan with non stick coating for $20 at a general discount store that was just a bit heavier making me wish i had not pad the extra $30. I believe one pays primarily for the name.
