Comments about Pearl Izumi Cyclone Bike Toe Covers:
I really like these when I put them on my shoes (Sidi's, sz 42 for PI's sz medium) and they worked very nicely when I had them on during my ride. They are good for cooler riding, but not heavy enough for rainy/really chilly weather. When I took them off after one use I had a small tear in the bottom where it stretches over the cleat, though! The size was appropriate and I like the weight of the cover, so I'm going to try them again and see what happens, being careful to eliminate any stretch around the cleat this time.

Comments about Pearl Izumi Cyclone Bike Toe Covers:
They fit poorly on my Sidi shoes and covered part of the cleat. they began to rip on the sole after just a few uses. I had intended to use them on a tour and instead kept them in my bag because the continued to fall off. i recommend a less expensive neoprene version.

Comments about Pearl Izumi Cyclone Bike Toe Covers:
Firstly, this product does not offer much protection from the cold; as they would be worn on cooler days, you'd expect them to at least provide a barrier to the wind. These do little in that department. Secondly, the fit for sizes S/M and L/XL are nearly identical, and neither fit the shoe properly - I'm only a 10.5, and both sizes are too small to cover the front of the shoe, and the opening (unless pulled back to the point of ripping the material) still covers the cleats, so you'll have to use scissors to cut away material. When worn, they have a tendency to slide down the shoe, and give the appearance of a sock not pulled snug on a child's foot[$] it is better than nothing, at least some added protection for the piggies ... just don't expect too much.

Comments about Pearl Izumi Cyclone Bike Toe Covers:
I bought these so I would not need full booties all the time. As described above, the toe covers are very hard to put on and they come off incredibly fast. I also had the issue of covering the SPD clips on my size 45 Shimano MTB shoes.
Mine did not rip the few times I wore them but I returned them (Thanks REI!). I am still looking for a really good bootie that works well. Maybe buying a pair of dedicated winter/ rain shoes is indicated.
