Comments about Easton Aluminum Nano Tent Stake with Cord:
Lightweight and cheap, but they're made of two different pieces of metal which are poorly secured to each other. The top cap came off of two of mine on the very first use, making them useless (not to mention impossible to remove from the ground). I'd been hitting them with a rock to get them into the ground. Maybe fine for super-soft ground, but otherwise I'll find something else.

Comments about Easton Aluminum Nano Tent Stake with Cord:
I used these stakes three times, the final time being in the North Cascades in cold weather (10 degrees). Perhaps it was the cold, but at least half of the tops came loose from the stakes. I was going to use epoxy on them at home, but now I'm dumping them instead -- who knows when the tops will come loose again.

Comments about Easton Aluminum Nano Tent Stake with Cord:
I have used at least 4 different kinds of stakes for my backpacking tents and this is by far the most satisfactory. Yes, I did break one when forcing it around a rock or other obstacle in the ground; that bent the stake and in trying to straight it back out, I broke it. But that's my fault. And unlike one of the reviewers, I've never had the head separate from the shank.

Comments about Easton Aluminum Nano Tent Stake with Cord:
Had to comment here after seeing the other reviews. This is a really good, reliable stake. It is marginally heavier than the ti stakes but significantly less expensive and stronger. Solid as a rock while not being overkill. I use it for any normal condition. Not appropriate for super soft ground (you would need the longer version). One caution: I also had one where the top part came off. It happened the first time I used it, but hasn't ever happened to any of the others. Check individual stakes before you buy, if they are solid, then you should never have a problem.

Comments about Easton Aluminum Nano Tent Stake with Cord:
I used these stakes which came with my tent. When I went to pull the stake out of the ground it broke in the middle of the aluminum. It must have had a hairline crack or some manufacturing defect because it was in soft ground and was only used overnight. I wouldn't buy these on their own, and I will be replacing these with something else.

Comments about Easton Aluminum Nano Tent Stake with Cord:
This stake is very lightweight and perfect for backacking. I have not had any of the heads come off as some other reviewers have. The only issue that I've had was one of my stakes broke, after a large number of uses, while putting it in the ground with my foot. Had I walked 10 feet to grab a rock to pound it in straight this wouldn't have happened. Even after the stake broke, I was able to use the top half to hold a corner of my tarptent down.

very light. feels sturdy. once it bends it's shot. thin walled tube that is no more sturdy than the free stakes that come with a cheap tent. extremely dissappointed

Comments about Easton Aluminum Nano Tent Stake with Cord:
These Easton stakes came with my last ultralight tent that I bought. I really wanted to like them, the design is nice and they are very lightweight. but every time I camped with them I broke one. Usally tapping them in with a rock and hitting something solid like roots or rocks. After the third time I replaced them all with MSR Needle stakes. You can really beat on those guys without worry, and they are aout the same weight. I would not recomend Easton stakes to anyone.

Comments about Easton Aluminum Nano Tent Stake with Cord:
I have used both sizes of the Easton aluminum stakes and have never had a moments trouble with them. In fact, I think they are great and have recommended them to others. I would definately buy them again.

Comments about Easton Aluminum Nano Tent Stake with Cord:
These seemed to be great, over many trail miles...but then one of them shattered in normal (slightly hard) Sierra soil. No big deal, but a few trips later, it happened again, also under normal conditions. I still use the remaining stakes, but won't be purchasing these as replacements. Stakes that bend can still be used, but a shattered stake is useless.
