[...]I found the REI Radiance Down Jacket and was very pleased with the style and fit so I decided to give it a try. I wore it casually around town and took it for couple snowshoe trips so far.It performed exeptionally well and kept me warm at all times. It is lightweight and nicely packable which I found very helpful when I needed to take it off while climbing steep uphill.Great price on the top of the great performance makes this jacket really stand out from the line of competition.

If you are active and play in nature this jacket will not serve you well. If you are looking for a really cute and warm coat to wear to work and out with friends, this is an excellent, good looking choice.I bought this jacket on a whim because it was so warm and an excellent fit. It really has a flattering cut to it and the cream/white color is awesome. After I got it home, I looked at it closer and realized that it does not have rip-stop and would very easily rip if I were to take it on a hike in the woods (which I do often.) I could live with it not being waterproof and putting a Gortex shell on if it's raining out but I didn't want to have to wear a shell on top of it all of the time. [...]

    This jacket has such a cute cut to it. I really like it. I could have sized down a size, but I figured I can layer if I need to. But, this coat is so warm you don't need to layer. I wore it out in 12 below zero weather and I was nice and toasty. I even machine washed it on gentle cycle and fluff dried and it came out beautifully. Looked brand new. I've gotten many compliments and you can't beat the price!

      I own and love the REI radiance down vest and so enjoying this jacket was assumed inevitable . . . and I do love it. The styling of the jacket is flattering and feminine. The color selection is delightful. I wear it for everyday winter use, and I'm warm and happy. As with other REI brand items that I own, I feel that I get quality at a reasonable price relative to big name brands.

        I use my coat daily for walking the dog in the winter and for hiking, camping, and snow sports. I'm impressed with the quality for the value -- it is very functional and practical. When it's below 10 deg F I wear a fleece vest underneath. I plan on buying the triad parka this year so I can zip it into the shell for added wind protection and durability. Now in my second season of daily use, the nylon shows some grime, I haven't tried washing it.

        This is my favorite jacket (and I have a lot of jackets!) It's very warm, looks great, and wears well. The hand pockets are really toasty and the material is resistant to snags and tears. I wouldn't recommend it for any active events because it is kinda bulky.

        I got the white color even though my common sense was telling me it was just going to get dirty. Fortunately this little jacket washed up perfectly in my machines at home and looks snowy white again. Just do an internet search on how to wash down gear. Used some "delicate" detergent I picked up at the grocery store and I tossed it in the drier with a tennis ball to break up the clumps of wet down, worked great!

          I really like this jacket. I originally wanted a "name brand" jacket but decided on this one for the price. It is super comfy and does not feel too bulky nor does it look too bulky. I feel like I am wearing my down sleeping bag--its sooo warm!

            Note: was NOT tested in long, cold camp conditions...wouldnt.

            Jacket looks overall cool; good fit, nice looking, fairly light weight, fairly compressable, low price for down, - was perfect gift for gf who is at best only semi active in winter, NO backcountry though, NO cold camping. Thus, she did not need the super 700+ fill big name jackets. Nonetheless, within 1 month of casual wear, feathers were popping out at the rate of at least 2-3 per night, and the jacket overall looked like it was about 3 seasons old and heavily used. She is no slob nor is she careless with clothing. It's performance surprised us, and I certainly wouldnt trust it for very long in the pack, (I was considering one for myself.) We are not that particular, but this item was returned soon after that 1st month...for a big name brand.
