XTC lightweight long underwear bottoms combine bamboo-derived charcoal with polyester for an environmentally friendly, high-performance base layer.

  • Polyester and bamboo-derived charcoal polyester blend offers moisture-, odor- and UV-management naturally without the need of chemicals
  • Polyester yarns are embedded with charcoal from carbonized bamboo; the highly porous nature of carbon helps wick and disperse moisture, drying quickly
  • Bamboo charcoal naturally removes odor and particles from fabric—just like your water filter—and won't wash out
  • Naturally UV-resistant fabric with a UPF 50+ rating shields skin from the sun's harmful ultraviolet rays

I've used these as a base layer for snowshoeing for the past three years. They've worked very well. I've never felt overheated or cold with them on even after being out snowshoeing for 3 hours. The only fault, which is minor, is they can snag or pill. After three years of use and wash it isn't bad and not noticeable from the outside. I see it more on the inside. It doesn't effect the performance at all. Overall the construction is made well and I'll be using them for many years.
