Comments about REI Woodland Fleece Jacket - Women's:
Being short, it's nearly impossible for me to find a jacket where the sleeves don't hang down past my fingertips, but this one fits me perfectly! The overall length of the jacket is neither too long or too short, and the back hem dips down a bit longer than the front, which I like. The princess seaming gives the jacket a flattering, feminine fit without feeling tight or constricting. I was worried about the zip-up collar being stiff or irrating, but it was actually very soft and comfy. I was surprised at how warm this jacket kept me, considering how lightweight it is. It's no heavier than a shirt, yet it kept me toasty warm (but not sweaty) while hiking in 30-degree temps. The fabric, although not waterproof, does seem to shed raindrops. I got caught in a light rain, and the moisture seemed to bead up on the surface rather than soak in, and dried very quickly. The moisture did not seem to adversely affect the insulating qualities of the fabric, as it kept me warm even when it got damp. I was also able to stuff it in my pack without it becoming a wrinkly mess. I highly recommend this jacket to anyone, particularly if you are a petite size. I like it so much, I'm planning on ordering another one in a different color.

Comments about REI Woodland Fleece Jacket - Women's:
It is very warm and soft and comfortable, but it wears ans pills badly. I was hiking in it and bits of fuzz from the fleece got caught in my backpack straps. It still has pills and fuzzy spots where the straps or things like zippers and velcro from my waterproof shell touched the jacket.

Comments about REI Woodland Fleece Jacket - Women's:
I really liked this jacket, so much so that I took it to the top of Mt. Rainier last year. My only concerns are that the fleece isn't windproof and since I have a longer torso, I didn't feel I was getting adequate coverage. Matched with my windshell, I was very happy with it's performance and the price. I wear it all the time.

We just returned from a trip to Florida and it was very cold in Florida the last few weeks..I wore the jacket everyday at some time. Very comfortable and durable. Will try to get another in the future. Great for car travel. Just enough with a shirt under

Comments about REI Woodland Fleece Jacket - Women's:
I can't get over what a great fleece this is. It's really lightweight, which I value for my longer backpacking trips; keeps me comfortable down to 40 deg F. Lower than that I just add my down vest (10oz) and I'm set to below freezing temperatures. This fleece fits me perfectly (XS for 5'5", 124lb self with long torso), and looks so cute that I can wear it to work in the city when missing the trails. I wish that the pockets were zippered, but that would add weight as well anyway. Soft, comfortable, warm, lightweight, dries quickly, and does not shed black onto my other clothes. To those who felt it did not hold up or shrunk, I suggest not using the dryer. I never put my hiking gear in the dryer.
One con that I see in this piece as in most athletic clothes: there is a bit of extra room in the belly area. Not more than other athletic clothes. I guess it adds to the comfort factor. Still pretty flattering.

This is a great fleece that I find to be very durable. The only problem is that it's a little short for my 5'6 frame.

Wonderful jacket. Oasis is a brilliant color...really very pretty. I may buy another in black for more rugged activities, as I worry about getting it dirty (and how it will wash up) when I camp with it.
Sizing is normal, but this jacket would probably be best for a woman 5'5ish and under. Great for 40+ F degrees and hiking/casual wear. For 30s and under, it's chilly without other layers. Jacket does fine in wind up to 15 mph (not more, though) by itself.

It was okay until i had to wash it. I wore it 2 times and it was okay kind of tight and warm. The first time I washed it, it fell apart on me. I would NOT recommend this.

Comments about REI Woodland Fleece Jacket - Women's:
I bought a size up because I'm long waisted and don't mind a loose fit. The fleece is very soft, warm, light, and snuggly, and I like the high neck. The pockets don't have scratchy zippers on them. Perfect for everyday use. It's a great jacket, but I would buy a smaller, longer product if I were looking for a real underlayer.
My main complaint is that it sheds, at least at first. Mine is light lavender, which is quite noticeable on black pants.

Comments about REI Woodland Fleece Jacket - Women's:
If you are a petite size, you will love it. I am size 2-4, I have size X Small in 3 different colors. Perfect body and sleeve length, great should fit, neck not too tight or loose when zipped up. If you are between sizes, you can buy smaller size for better fit and put a water proof jacket on as outer layer, it is very warm, fabric soft against skin. Or if you prefer loose fit, you can just size up.
I do not have any problem with the fabric, not like one reviewer said, fibers do not get onto clothes. and I think it is also kind of dirt repellent, because I have two dogs, sometimes I get mud over my jacket, it just comes off easily when it gets dry.
