    I took a good look at the retailer luggage that is out there (name brand and some I have never heard of).I really wanted a rolling duffel or Backpack(s) but they have way to many "snag" points and the "colapsable" nature makes the breed(duffels& backpacks) not well suited, to "Hard"& "Hardest" Airline travel and handeling.(They Beat your bags and they beat them up & down Hard!!!)I think the wheels and attachment on this luggage are simply un-destructable,plus rolling smooth as glass.Nothing on the market (In my opinion or that I could find locally)is this quality for this price range.I think you can buy with confidance. [...]Frequent flyers will love this luggage---just try to wear it out.....you won't.I hate paying for quality but I never regret owning it!

    This was a gift for my husband. In trying to meet his very specific suitcase needs, I looked at sites, shopped around, and was never satisfied. This suitcase had it all: some style, better than average durability, good color, at least 24", a few extra pockets, and good wheels/turning capability. Plus, the price was really good for meeting all these needs. It has now lived through 2 weeks of travel in and out of airports, on and off boats, and into and out of car trunks. We hope it stays with us a long time. Added bonus, even with it full, it weighed 48 lbs. at the airport, so no extra baggage fees!

    I needed business luggage for my first-ever business trip. I elected to purchase the 22 inch rolling bag and the carry-on piece from this set, which set me back more than I ever thought I would spend on luggage. The members return guarantee is what finally sold me. If the airlines screwed it up, I'd get a new one, which seems like a good bet to me. I purchased the set and went on my trip. It has since been through many an airport and many a baggage handler, been lost and found and carried 2 jars of honey nestled in amongst my silks. Not a single item has been broken, lost or otherwise mangled. I can always find everything thanks to the useful placement of pockets and pouches. The zipper at the bottom of the suitcase liner is great. The wheels glide along through the terminal and everywhere else without problem. This includes through dirt and gravel. I am looking to get the next size up, should I need to get another bag that's bigger. Or I just might buy another of the 22 inch bags in another colour. They are that wonderful.
    Seek no other bag. This one is sturdy, secure, well-constructed and if something goes wrong and the airlines do somehow manage to find a way to do something to damage it, it's covered under the return policy that is so amazing.

      I was tired of buying luggage that fell apart every few years. I spent time looking at user reviews before deciding on this luggage. I bought one initially and used it on a long family vacation overseas. Liked it so much, bought a second one. Used them recently for short family ski trip. These bags are typical REI great quality product. Large wheels that roll easily. Good quality zippers that stay on and work well. Several good size compartments to keep things separate. Unlike most rolling luggage, these do not fall over when full!! Bought the dark rust color so it would stand out from typical black luggage. So far, bags still look brand new.

        Just received this beauty and I am all set to go for my upcoming Alaskan cruise! I was prepared to take 2 suitcases, one 22 inch and my larger out of date 27 inch from [...]which I have had 15 years! I did a dry run with my clothes which needed to include work (Im teaching), work-out,dressy, everyday, and shore excursions in the Pacific Northwest which can be rainy, cold or sunny. Plenty of room for all the extras too. I also purchased the tote and Im glad I did as it attaches to the suitcase and I can use it as an expanded carryon. (it's not large, so be sure to measure...) I rate the 25 inch highly! PS I purchased the blue which is subtle and goes nicely with a Taupe/brown Victorinox 22 inch I have.

          I wrote about a year ago about how great it is. It's still great after traveling all over the country through airports checked and carry-on, through dirt and gravel and more dirt. Last week was the greatest test of durability and quality - It repelled cat pee without absorbing a bit of oil, liquid or scent. Disgusting though that may be, a cat that does not belong to me decided my bag needed marking and sprayed it. I discovered it well after the incident and hit it with the enzymatic cleaner under a black light. Unlike the carpet I treated at the same time, I watched as the little bright blobs welled up and came right off. Where the carpet still shows bright under a black light regardless of smell, my bag has no bright spots at all post-treatment. The bag's repellent treatment is top-of-the-line. I'm absolutely thrilled that it holds off the worst of the worst staining and smells. I only hope that it doesn't have to face skunk, but that if it does it will probably come out smelling like flowers. Nothing sticks to this bag. Thanks REI!
