Comments about Outdoor Research Snowline Gloves - Men's:
I purchased this glove b/c it seemed to be the best balance of weather resistance and price point. The glove worked fairly well for winter trekking and backpacking, but with two major flaws. First, the liner is not attached at the finger tips, so the gloves feel great until you remove them for any reason. Then getting your fingers back into the liner is next to impossible. Secondly, the liners stop short of the shell of the glove, so dexterity was poor. I had to remove my gloves during a snow flurry while setting up camp because I couldn't grip the tent straps, pulls, zippers, etc... Very bad for the hands. When I returned home, the gloves took close to a week to dry. I returned them to REI this week w/o loosing any sleep over [...]

Comments about Outdoor Research Snowline Gloves - Men's:
I bought these gloves for alpine skiing to replace my old ones. The product has some very bad design flaws such as the liner. Like others have pointed out they're not attached to the shell so when the glove is removed the liner comes out. I also dislike that the fingers don't reach the tip of the shell. The gloves do take time to dry but they dry better when hung vertically with the liner out and pointing down.
The shell is actually nice and I particularly like the grip. I might remove the liner and use a regular liner with the shell. I definitely don't recommend this product.

I got these thinking they would be really warm and waterproof. I used them on a day hike and they were great. But then I used them to ski and my hands got soaked and freezing. When I was done that day I took the gloves off and all the lining came inside out and it was nearly impossible to get them back together. I used them the following week to ski and they were still damp from the previous week. I ski a lot and had to get a different pair of gloves.

This product is not waterproof or breathable. It takes too long to dry. I do like the fit. I will still buy OR products because of previous experiences but not these gloves.

I got these at the recommendation [...]. The first afternoon the snow came in and did not stop. Fortuantely I got most of my site set up before hand. It seemed that the snow simply melted into the fabric of the gloves and the liner. There was no water repellancy at all. All the complaints about sweating and the liner coming out and not drying are true. These are terrible gloves. Any pros can only be considered with no direct contact with snow. So with that in mind there are no pros.

I just got off the slopes wearing these all day and need to write a review for these gloves. They are soaking wet, from both the inside out, and outside in. I wanted a pair of gloves for snowboarding that weren't overly expensive, and I totally got what I paid for. I am not looking forward to putting them on when I hit the slopes tomorrow. Oh, and I dont recommend taking them off until the end of the day, cause when you take them off the fingers of the liner turn inside out and you spend a good 10 minutes trying to get them fixed. Spend a few extra bucks a buy a better pair of gloves, I wish I did!

These started out warm, but once you sweat in them the slightest bit, you might as well change gloves. Even with the liners flipped inside out they take a week to dry.
I wanted gloves with removable liners, but there weren't any in stock in my size at the store. Went with these since the price seemed fair. I think I'll have to relegate these to the trunk of my car for windshield duty.

Comments about Outdoor Research Snowline Gloves - Men's:
I thought these gloves would be great for a winter backpacking trip in the Adirondacks. They're warm and dry and fit well enough that I could adjust snowshoes and zippers. Unfortunately, I let my hands get a little sweaty and they wouldn't dry after that. They were pretty cold when wet, which left me using backup gloves for the next day of backpacking. If the lining wasn't fully integrated into the shell, I think they'd have had a better chance of getting dry.
