Comments about Motorola T8500R Two-Way Radios - 2 Pack:
Really liked it-At first. However one radio went on the blink after only a few uses and is totally useless.
Having only one radio doesn't do ya much good.
Bought a Midland with a 26 mile range-no problems so far.

Comments about Motorola T8500R Two-Way Radios - 2 Pack:
These sound really terrible when talking back and forth. You have to put your mouth up against it to get any sound and voices sound digital and stuttered. Search out other reviews of this radio and you will discover that NO ONE has rated them well, anywhere.
Additionally, when I returned these, the customer service guy said that he gets several of those returned a week, and one person who keeps buying new ones every couple weeks when they fall apart!

Comments about Motorola T8500R Two-Way Radios - 2 Pack:
I bought these to use for backpacking and hiking when our group gets strung out along the trail. One of the pair had terrible reception and transmission from the first mile. The last time we tried using them was to talk from one car to another, separated by about 200 feet and no cars in between: about half the words were clear. Don't buy these unless you're looking for a paperweight for your desk.
