When I'm cycling for my long workouts (>3hrs), these tablets in my camelbak really give me that extra boost of energy. I find that if I fill my camelbak bladder w/ about 1/3 of ice cubes then H2O, then mix in 4 tabs for 100 oz. It's an amazing difference than just going w/ plain H2O. I do carry plain H2O in my cycle frame bottles and find that I will deplete my entire water source by the end of my workout. (Note: When running, I did find that the ice cubes can be an annoying jiggle.)

Pleasant lemon-lime taste. Don't use too much or it can overwhelm you. I like to add it the night before and refrigerate it.

No aftertaste in my Camelbak after cleaning.

Better than Gatorade! Doesn't have that awful sweet taste...

My 2 teenage children are diabetic and this is a GREAT way to give them their electrolytes when they are sick without giving them extra sugar or worse---corn syrup! They also enjoy this during sports (horse vaulting/running/tennis/swimming) Pedialyte is many times more expensive and tastes terrible!! My husband is a competitive cyclist and found this a great find for himself also!!

Things I like:
1) nice alternative to drinking water all the time
2) electrolyte replacement
3) no after taste after rinsing out bottle/bladder
4) Lemon-Lime has a good taste

Things I did not like:
1) expensive
2) each tablet works with 24oz. rather than 33oz./Liter so it is a pain to measure water for a nalgene bottle and 4 tablets in a 100oz bladder taste watered down.

These are an easy way to get a boost and some extra electrolytes during your hike, but the taste isn't that great, a buck a tablet is a little pricey considering you need to use at least one per liter, and they did leave a residue in my camelback after I used them. I had to ask my wife to get her hands inside to clean it out properly.

This stuff is great, went for several days on just this stuff out in Bengal India when I had a major case of bacteria in the gutt from water and food. It let me survive.
And People, It tastes a lot better than any dry electrolyte that I could get my hands on there.
Any seriouse Trekker should consider this, especially if you are a lone trecker.

It is pricy but so worth keeping in your bag!!!

YOU don't have to use it full strengh to get the bennies form it. Carry it.

I liked the ease of use and sugar-free composition of the elixir tabs. The taste was okay too. However, I noticed that my fingers swelled quite a bit when I used these on a long hike, more than with a competing brand. I'd recommend these, but I would mix them to a less concentrated amount to lessen the amount of sodium in each drink.

I used to carry Gatorade powder on long desert hikes (four or five days), but I got tired of the sugar crash and cleaning gunk out of my bladder. I switched to this product to get away from the sugar, and I am very pleased with it. I use it after running (4.5 miles or so) and on desert hikes. No sugar crash, and no mess to clean up. It's expensive, but very good.

Interesting taste. Tastes different (maybe better) than gatorade, propel, or crystal light. It's a light flavoring. It left no residue in my bladder.The only reason I tried it was because it was [$] and I wanted something new.In the end, I would not spend over $5 for these.
