Comments about Gerber Torch Drop Point Knife:
This knife is AMAZING! it is fast to flick open and I can close it with one hand. there are barley any moving parts so it would be really hard to break. the grip wont let the knife ever slip out of your hank when its wet. the finger guard/ flicker is nice so i don't have to worry about cutting my finger.

Comments about Gerber Torch Drop Point Knife:
I love this knife. I got it thinking I would eventually use it for outdoor use, as it was on sale at the time. I use it for everything!
My knife spent 4 months in a chemistry research laboratory and held up extraordinarily well. There are a couple small, minor acid burns in the finish but the blade held up very well, and is still sharp though I haven't sharpened it after using it to cut adhesive for 4 months.
The grip is shaped to hold your fingers, which I like because it's the perfect size. I have somewhat large hands for a woman so I'm guessing it's comfortable for a large range of people of both sexes.
This being my first knife, I was previously only familiar with Spyderco knives, which have a very different release mechanism. It took me an hour to figure out how to close it! It's still stiff so I can't close the knife in a fluid motion, but it opens easily with the aid of the finger guard and nubs.
You definitely can't beat this knife for the price.

Comments about Gerber Torch Drop Point Knife:
Use this knife for everything. From around the house chores to skinning a deer. Durable blade, holds an edge well yet easy to sharpen. I don't like serrated knife edges because they are harder to sharpen, and this plain edge knife is as good as it gets. Get this knife and you won't be disappointed. Priced well too... it's a waste to spend too much money on a knife.

Comments about Gerber Torch Drop Point Knife:
good average knife, just like all Gerber brand knives. Fairly priced, great for somebody looking for an everyday knife yet still good enough to take with you while backpacking because of the light weight. If you use it correctly, wont break on you and stays sharp. mine was a liitle hard to open at first, but it got easy after i opened and closed it for a few minutes.
