Comments about Petzl Adjama Harness:
Harnesses are not comfortable, especially on hanging belays. However, the Petzl Adjama is the best I have worn. Petzl opted to keep the padding to a minimal, making the harness comfortable by its precise cut and design, a very distinct difference from the Focus. The major difference between this harness and any other company's is the Petzl lock system on the waist buckle. Unlike other harnesses, you do NOT have to double back. This is a bit scary at first because you habitually have the desire to double back the waist, but it slowly becomes the nicest feature because as long as you cinch up the belt, you are safe when climbing. Also, the gear loops are well constructed and don't look/feel they are going to break of with any force like some harnesses do. Quality harness, you get what you pay for.

Comments about Petzl Adjama Harness:
This harness is made of a mesh material, which helps keep you cool on long climbing sessions. The gear loops are great because they don't stick out. It's nice to have complete loops, that don't have breaks in the like some Black Diamond harnesses. Because the legs aren't highly padded, this is not a terribly comfortable harness to hang in for extended periods of time, but its' minimalist design keeps it from getting in the way during difficult climbs. The buckle system is great, though [...] the leg loops loosen occasionally. The buckles are small and don't get in the way. Overall a great harness--well worth the price.

Comments about Petzl Adjama Harness:
This is a great step up from many beginning harnesses for a variety of reasons. It is extremely light, and I really like the gear loops that have rigidity but still flex at the point where they join the waist, which are especially noticeable in the back when wearing a pack and running around the crag. The double back system is great, and makes for very simple and quick adjustment and putting on/taking off. It is well ventilated, and provides a reasonable amount of padding and support. I would not, however, want to hang in it all day, but it excels at sport climbing, specifically when you think you need to shave 6 or 4 ounces on a redpoint attempt. Buy this harness, but expect an odd combination of sizing from waist to legs. I have a fairly slim/average build (31" waist), but had sizing issues because the small gave me a perfect waist fit with zero extra room in the legs, and now the medium provides a good amount of leg webbing with excess waist belt, which would be good when wearing layers. I would expect some durability issues because of a little less beef in the general construction, for instance on the belay loop and webbing everywhere. Also beware of the leg loops loosening as you walk around, so check them periodically. All around a great harness, if you can justify the extra cash from the average rig, but this isn't your average rig.

I love this harness. I have used it for everything from climbing/setting in a gym, to sport, to aid climbing. I mainly use it for bolting routes now. It is light, adjustable, and comfortable to sit in for long periods of time.

Comments about Petzl Adjama Harness:
First and only harness, fits great, looks good and the buckles are pre-threaded so there's no need to double back. I have the gray one though, not the bright blue one thats on display.

Comments about Petzl Adjama Harness:
i've been climbing outdoors for the past 3 months, religiously once or twice a week, i'm 5'9, 185lbs.
the harness is really easy to get in and out of, plus it's really comfortable. so comfortable it'll make your belayer invest in a grigri, IF you decide to hangdog for awhile. i've been on V.10b routes that took me 30mins to finish and 25mins of those were just hanging around, and the only things i was complaining about were my pumped hand/forarms and wobbly legs, but not my @rse.
harness is well vented as well.

Comments about Petzl Adjama Harness:
This is not a good all day harness. If you anticipate any hanging belays or long days on a route, don't use this harness. My gal and guy friends have the same pressure point issues with the hip straps as I do.
I would consider this a good gym only harness.
My leg loops are completely frayed look like they've gone through a shredder and I've only had this harness for a year. I owned my last Petzl harness for 4 years. Very dissappointed.
