Comments about SRAM Powerlink - 7/8 Speed:

Absolutely one of the 8 things (other 7 are helmet, full-finger gloves, multi-tool, mini air pump, spare tube[s], snacks, and hydration) a mountain biker should have at all times.

I just got my first chain break earlier and was quick enough to get the broken link out with the chain breaker on my multi-tool and back together in 3 minutes. Installing the Powerlink requires a little force if the chain is dirty, but that can be fixed by stomping on the pedal to "set" the connecting links.

Another great thing is that you can now take the chain off to degrease/lube off the bike in the comfort of your garage!
