Comments about Nike Yoga Mat:
I am very pleased with the grip this mat has. I sweat a lot during ashtanga yoga, and this mat finally helped me stay in certain postures, such as downward facing dog, without my hands slipping. Be careful though because it grips so well, you have a potential for stubbing your toe.

Comments about Nike Yoga Mat:
This mat was great when I purchased it several months ago - lightweight for travel and a great grip for its thickness. After about 3 months, however, it started slipping and stretching in downward dog and now does not stay in place on the floor even after washing. Great looking, but very short lifespan.

Comments about Nike Yoga Mat:
I have had this mat for one month. It has good traction and as a new yoga student, I appreciate the center line to keep me on track. I also noticed that the mat hangs on to footprints if your feet are less than clean. I keep my exercise gear in my car for the day while I'm at work and after one particularly warm day, the mat melted at the edges and doesn't lay flat! A big downer!

Comments about Nike Yoga Mat:
I use this mat nearly every day for yoga, and have owned it for about 5 months. It works pretty well for my needs. I like in particular that it is extremely lightweight. It does not have a strong odor. (It may have when I first obtained it - I don't recall.) Its primary shortcoming is that it does not have as good of grip as I would like - my hands slip gradually in down-dog. I do not slip in any standing yoga poses. I do not have sweaty hands or feet when I do yoga, though it's possible that dampness would increase, rather than decrease, traction . It's also possible that washing the mat again will help, which I have yet to try. (Washing is apparently advised of all mats, for both odor reduction and traction improvement.)

Comments about Nike Yoga Mat:
I have been going to prenatal yoga classes 3X a week for the past 3 weeks. One side of the strap broke at my 3rd class so I tied it. Today, the other side broke. The grip is OK - not great. I'm now looking for a yoga mat bag so I can carry my mat to and from class.

Comments about Nike Yoga Mat:
The Nike Yoga mat is a great product – at least it used to be! The problem is that the new mats are of a much cheaper quality than the old mats. The new mats are much more 'plasticy', and less grippy. Make sure you get the mat with the stitched center line and logo side tag. The new mats have an embedded logo and center line (no stitching).
As is Nike's trend, if something is working well, they try to make it cheaper and easier to build, but they lost the quality mark of the earlier models of this mat. The new versions are much like any other mat, or even worse. 5 Stars for the original. 1 Star for the new cheaper version.

Comments about Nike Yoga Mat:
I got the blue one for Christmas last year, and loved it from day one. Works fabulous at the gym, really sticky, great grip. I got the green one later and didn't like it as well; it's thinner and more flimsy, but I like it for at home- it's better than slipping on the carpet. The stitched line in the center helps alignment. Only negative comment is that when you're doing power yoga and sweating a lot, it gets slippery.

Comments about Nike Yoga Mat:
This is a poorly designed product. The mat is thinner than any yoga mat I have seen, and it makes my bones hurt to use it. It also shuffles around on the ground and is not particularly sticky. The carrying strap it comes with broke the first time I tried to put it back on the mat. However, the color is nice and it has an attractive "swoosh" in several places. For someone interested in using a yoga mat for yoga or pilates, I would suggest something a bit more substantial.
