For your reference, this page contains historical product information.

Great for recreational and light touring use, the all-purpose Aqua-Bound® Stingray paddle boasts a unique adjustable feathering ferrule.

  • Carbon-fiber shaft is very light, stays warm in your hands on cooler days, and offers a bit of flex for paddling comfort
  • New TLC (Turn Lock Coupler) adjustable ferrule system is so simple, it requires only two fingers to use, just select feather angle and turn to lock
  • Ferrule adjusts from 0, 30, 45, or 60-degrees using either right- or left-hand control; two-piece design breaks down for easy storage or transport
  • Grooves on the ferrule prevent sand and sludge build-up, maintaining a tight, trouble-free ferrule for years of use
  • ABX resin blade material, a blend of fiberglass-reinforced nylon, provides excellent durability when pushing off rocks or barnacles
  • Asymmetrical dihedral blade shape provides a flutter-free stroke with superior directional control
  • Precision balanced, so you can feel the performance in your hands
  • Comes with rubber drip rings to keep water away from hands and lap

Made in USA.

Comments about Aqua-Bound Stingray Carbon Shaft Paddle:

Love this paddle for its light weight and trim feel, but . . . with twists and turns of whitewater, I had to reconnect it several times in a 5-hour river run. Danger of loosing the parts and control of my kayak, caused me to "park" this paddle for the milder lake tours. I hope it will be improved, as I would buy an upgrade!

Comments about Aqua-Bound Stingray Carbon Shaft Paddle:

This is a very good paddle for beginners or as a back up. It's light and the small blades make long paddles easier, allowing the paddler to build up strength and endurance. The drawbacks are that the small blades don't provide much power when ocean paddling or having to maneuver suddenly. The blades also aren't terribly durable. Although I'm very carefully with my paddles (they travel in a padded bag, I don't use them to fend off) the nylon blades still show signs of wear and tear.

Comments about Aqua-Bound Stingray Carbon Shaft Paddle:

The blades aren't very wide. This reduces fatigue for hours of paddling, but also provides less power than larger blades I have used. For the type of paddling I do, this is a great paddle. The price is right.

The adjustable shaft is great. Lots of positions to fine tune the feathering angle. The texture of the shaft is a little rough. If you were going to use this paddle more than a couple of hours, paddling gloves would probably help make it more comfortable.
