Comments about Leki Snowflake Trekking Pole Snow Baskets - Pair:
I'm not sure why the other reviewers said that these baskets are hard to put on/take off. Leki poles are threaded for the baskets. Give them a pull to get them to the threads, spin them off. Reverse to put them on.
Relatively cheap way to use your trekking poles for light snowshoeing.

Comments about Leki Snowflake Trekking Pole Snow Baskets - Pair:
I have used LEKI poles for several years and am a happy customer as is my husband. During winter months and snowshoeing we have always used the leki snow basket, they do not work great in deep powder in the backcountry, they will sink pretty far (sometimes 10-12 inches) depending on conditions, but for the most part they do what they were intended to do. Are they perfect, no, but considering it is the only basket offered for thier poles, it is usable. This winter I am going to try some Black Diamond baskets and see if I can adapt them to the LEKI poles. They are larger and have a bit more surface area.
As for the taking them off issue, I will agree with the other reviewer, it is difficult, but over the last two years, we have just left ours on all summer.
