Comments about Osprey Waypoint 80 Travel Pack - Men's:
This pack is great for airline travel and non-back country hiking (as in hiking around Europe). It is probably not the best choice for camping, but serves it's purpose well. The straps store behind a quality panel to prevent catching when you check at the airport or train.
I believe it weighs in around 6lbs, so is kind of heavy for 100% hiking trips, but works great to get through cobblestone roads, smaller towns, areas where wheeled bags would have a hard time. The daypack is enough to fit a snack, jacket, and some water, but is otherwise too small to be much good seperated from the pack.
It features lock points on both the main pack and the daypack, and there is only one way to get into the main compartments of each respective pack. This is a security feature that many camping/hiking backpacks don't offer, yet is extremely helpful for staying in hostels, or even walking around towns with this pack.
Overall, I would say the average traveler should use the Waypoint 80 for trips 10+ days in length, and the Waypoint 60 for weekend to week-long trips.

Comments about Osprey Waypoint 80 Travel Pack - Men's:
I've used this pack for several European and South American trips. It has been a workhorse during my travels. The quality is tremendous, exactly what you would expect out of Osprey. I've jammed it full of stuff and have never had any problems with quality or comfort. It is a bit heavier than some other packs out there, but I feel it adds to the durability and utility of the product. My only complaint is that the daypack is on the small side, but I usually carry the daypack from my wife's REI pack and she carries this one. It is so much easier planning multi-stop trips knowing that I can rely on this pack. I feel I made an excellent decision with this purchase.

Comments about Osprey Waypoint 80 Travel Pack - Men's:
I bought this product for my husband and he finds it easy to pack and carry. The large external zipper allows for easy entry even to items at the bottom of your bag (no more digging blindly). He has taken it on a cross-country trip without incident and had enough room to carry home some of my exra purchases. We purchased the optional shoulder carry strap, which is convenient for those quick dashes through the airport when you don't want to unpack the shoulder and hip straps. His only complaint is that the daypack is smaller than he would like (doesn't hold a small sweater with other usual carry-on items.)
