This bag is very warm. Haven't taken it to zero degrees yet, but I've camped at around 15-20F or so and didn't feel a thing. At 30-40 degrees I'm even throwing a leg out. I'm a big guy (6'0, 270 lbs), and this thing isn't as confining as a typical mummy bag, and I can even turn around in it if I want to. I know I know, defeats the purpose of a mummy bag but oh well. I just wanted something a little less baggy than a square bag with enough room to stuff my next days clothes in the foot box. If you're a big guy and realize that every piece of camping gear is made for thin men, rest assured you can always get one of these! Also, North Face includes a storage sack and a decent stuff sack! The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because the zipper **MAY** snag on you sometimes if you're not especially careful or in a hurry to get out of the cold.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

    I agree with the other reviews warmth, spaciousness, etc but....
    the fleece liner has some serious pilling after time (North Face should have just used better quality fleece) and second, if the fleece (located in the foot box and for the hand warmer) comes into contact with any dry skin or healing cuts, it pulls the abrasions when you move,your skin catches on it. Also, would like to have had a built in compartment (for flashlight, watch etc.)
