Comments about Garmin Windshield Mounting Bracket with Suction Cup Mount for 60-Series GPS:
Since Garmins are all we own, we have had and still use a number of mounting solutions. I picked this mount up after I had gotten my GPSmap 60Csx. With the capabilities of the 60Csx I wanted to use it to navigate to and from geocaches and for hunting and as a mounted vehicle GPS. I primarily use it in a Jeep Wrangler which has a nice flat windshield, but use also in our Jeep Cherokee with a slightly curved. I will expound upon the aspects of those two different styles.
We off road in the Wrangler quite a bit and the mount gets bounced around for 6 to 8 hour at a time. So far, it has stayed securely attached during these excursions. Though I think the suction cup could be maybe a ½ to 1” larger in diameter because it does not hold as well to the curvature of the Cherokee windshield. If the cup was a little larger I think it would conform to the curve a little better. The rubber cup is flexible and soft and has good adhesion qualities. The bracket has two Y axis, screw lock-down adjustments that allow you to move the GPS in and out as well as up and down and pretty much any angle around that axis. It also has a swivel axis around the center of the GPS. One thing that would make it better would be rotation right/left around the X Axis directly behind the swivel axis; but since you could mount it sideways you would get this ability back but giving up the up and down movement.
The holder itself is sturdy, with the top securely attached in the belt clip button and the bottom snapping over the case with a tight snap-detent. One item, with the holder, or at least with the 60Csx, is the external power adapter plug. The one I have is right angled, or in this case down-angled, and is a very tight squeeze to get in; a little deeper relief below the clip button hole would make it easier. Cross adaptability to Ram-Mount bases would be nice too.
Probably two items for on going maintenance: Wipe down the suction cup with ArmorAll to keep the rubber pliable; the other would be, when not in use, leave the suction cup lever in the up position. The suction cup seems to conform to the base rather quickly making it hard to get it to suction to the glass next time you try to attach it.
Overall it is a very sturdy adequate mount. And works quite well and would buy it again.

Comments about Garmin Windshield Mounting Bracket with Suction Cup Mount for 60-Series GPS:
It's a great accessory if you own a Garmin 60 series GPS. It essentially turns your handheld Garmin into a very functional turn-by-turn Automobile GPS system at a minimal extra cost. I love that it can easily attach/detach from one vehicle to another and I can add it to rental cars (avoiding the exorbitant costs of using their GPS directory).
I have not noticed any problems with the suction cup system yet. I just make sure the glass and the suction cup surface are clean beforehand, and a slight bit of moisture seems to help the seal.
People in California should be advised, although all sorts of things like this GPS mount are routinely placed on windshields (and rear view mirrors), it is in fact a California Vehicle Code violation, section 26708(a). It's one of those handy CVC infractions that we used to initiate a traffic stop.
